Augustus Hotel Bernkastel

I called to tell I will arrive late. They told me they will leave me the key in the reception because after 6pm nobody is there.
I arrived at 11PM and the key was not there. And nobody came.
And we needed to leave at that time to another hotel....

Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist schon gut.
Die Zimmer, bzw Bad für etwas korperlente Menschen nicht so

Vi fik et dejligt familie værelse med god aircondition og god plads.
Toilet og bad var indrettet efter kørestol og badet var helt malplaceret. Der var glasdør i, så man sad hel genert på toilettet. Men det kunne vi se på salgsfoto, så det var ingen overraskelse. Toilet papir spurgte vi efter flere gange i receptionen, burde opfyldes automatisk fra personalet. Men okay.

Eigentlich wäre das Hotel aufgrund seiner Lage und Preis/ Leistung optimal für Fahrradtouristen geeignet. Es fehlt jedoch die Möglichkeit für das Aufladen des Akkus und die Einstellmöglichkeit für die Fahrräder ist sehr dürftig. Im Zimmer und Bad fehlen wegen der spartanischen Möblierung Haken für das Aufhänger der Garderobe und Utensilien. Sehr empfehlenswert ist das reichhaltige Frühstücksbüffet. Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und kommen gerne wieder.

Great value for money. Of course the bathroom is small and the room is basic.

Svært varme rom, med dårlig ventilasjon, ingen restaurant som beskrevet. Ingen servering av drikke i varmen. Ingen muligheter for å sitte ute

No air condition it was 33° outside and I think the room was even hotter. We slept in our car for the night.

Sehr netter Empfang und saubere, bequeme Untrrkunft. Für eine Nacht absolut okay, leider ist in dem Zimmer außer zwei Betten, einem Stuhl und einem Fernseher wirklich nichts ein wenig Abstellfläche für Gepäck wäre wünschenswert, sowie wenigstens ein keiner Schrank. Ansonsten das Richtige für eine Übernachtung zwischen zwei Bikingabschnitten

The confirmation from Expedia said "check-in starts at 3:00 pm". We arrived at 6:10 pm, and there was nobody at the reception desk. There was a sign on the wall that said "check in 15:00 to 18:00". We did not know there was a 6:00 pm deadline for check in. We could not find anybody around, and no instructions for arrival after 18:00. And no communications from the hotel. I'm sure they must have known that there were more people with reservations that had no yet arrived. We came very close to just leaving and finding another hotel in town. In the end, we wish we had.
Some people outside said to call the number for the hotel. I did and got and older woman who seemed very irritated that I had called, and surprised. She finally told me that there would be someone at reception again at 8:00 pm (20:00). So we went for a drive around town and went to the grocery store, and got gasoline, and got back to the hotel at 8:00 pm. There were about 25 people in the lobby waiting to check in. Two ladies were trying to do it together. One was going through a stack of printed reservations. Of course, everyone else was checked in before we were, at 8:45 pm. Parking lot out back was full of potholes. We finally got into our room, above the reception lobby, at 9:00 pm. We had been driving all day and were so tired. They were having some kind of disco party on the ground floor, people smoking and talking right under our window for hours. Not much sleep. Small room.

Meinen Ansprüchen hat es für 1-2 Tage Übernachtung gereicht. Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt und die Damen an der Rezeption sind sehr freundlich und alles wurde unkompliziert abgehandelt. Es ist sehr gepflegt und beim Frühstück war auch alles da. Alles Ok.

Et lidt for kompakt hotel. Værelset er smalt og har glasvæg til badeværelset, så I skal have det fint med at se hinanden på toilettet.

Simple hotel. Room is pretty small. Has everything you need, but nothing else.

This property is not convenient to where all the action is in this town and is a sketchy part of town off the beaten track. There is NO Air Conditioning at this property, just a fan in the room, if you are on the first floor and open the window, anyone walking past can see straight into your room. There was a lot of guests 'hanging around' in the car park late on Friday night and lots of doors slamming until at least midnight. The room we had was tiny, no coffee maker or hair dryer in the room. Felt like a prison. There are many other choices closer to the adorable villages, we only stayed here as it was a last minute choice and all that was available.

Viel zu wenig Platz, kein Schrank, kein Regal, kein Tisch, kein Stuhl.
Bad mit gläserner, durchsichtiger Tür. Nur 4 Haken, sonst nichts. Keine Ablage.
Nur ein Bett und links und rechts davon ein Gang mit ca 30 cm.
Allerdings war alles sauber. Jedoch kein Zimmerservice.
Weit weg von der Innenstadt.

Place smells like smoke and couldn’t use my card

Einfach, klein, sauber. Mehr braucht es nicht.

The room is really super-small. Apart of it, il all new and well kept. Bathroom is compact but shower is large and comfortable. I appreciate the fact that this structure accept dogs !. Overall was ok for one night, while i was on travel.

Staff was great. Hotel was lovely

Rustige ligging. Uitxicht op muur was minder aantrekkelijk. Krappe ( maar functionele) doucheruimte. Miste plank oid om iets op te leggen. Er was geen kastruimte.
