旅の計画を立てた時からデビットには丁寧な説明をいただきお世話になった。ホテルのスタッフの方々、ガイドをしてくれたGirma、皆さんがとても親切でホテルというより家に招かれたようでした。食事も美味しく部屋も広くベランダから望む景色は素晴らしかった。

We highly recommend staying at Top 12 Hotel. The staff, the beautiful bedrooms and the on-site restaurant are great. 


The staff is very welcoming. The owner, Shetu, is keen on sharing stories with his guests and has created from scratch this lovely hotel. The rooms are carefully decorated, super comfy and the views on the valley and sunsets are absolutely stunning. 


Dawit, the receptionist, is also very friendly and eager to help out and make you feel very welcome. 


The two ladies in the kitchen are amazing. The food they prepare is extremely fresh, tasty and healthy. And their smiles are warm and generous.


Please come and visit Lalibela. We felt very safe and at the moment (April 2026) there are no tourists so you'll have the rock hewn churches just for yourselves! 


Melesa, the tour guide Introduced to us by the hotel, is also highly recommended. He was very kind, knowledgeable and patient to show us around. We never felt rushed. He was always responsive to our requests and always perfectly on time. 

The staff were extremely kind and helpful. The food was freshly cooked using local ingredients. The views from the rooms and terrace were beautiful.

My stay at Top Twelve Hotel in Lalibela was truly unforgettable. From the moment I arrived, I felt genuine warmth and hospitality that made me feel more like a welcomed guest in a home than a customer in a hotel.

The hotel is beautifully maintained, very clean, peaceful, and perfectly located with breathtaking views of the mountains and Lalibela. Watching the sunrise and sunset from the hotel was simply magical. After long days visiting the incredible rock-hewn churches, it was the perfect place to rest and reflect.

What made this stay especially meaningful for me was the kindness and professionalism of the staff. Every single person was attentive, respectful, and always ready to help with a smile. Their service was truly exceptional.

I would also like to say a special thank you to the owner, who is a wonderful and generous person. His presence and care for guests truly shows in the atmosphere of the hotel. You can feel that this place is run with heart and pride.

My time in Lalibela was very special, and staying at Top Twelve Hotel made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Lalibela, and I hope to return again one day.

Top 12 was incredible! Beautiful rooms, amazing views, lovely service and very safe! They arranged a great tour guide for the Lalibela churches and the food was great. Rooms are so clean and comfortable! Owner was personally available for us anytime which was so indicative of Ethiopian hospitality. We will stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in Lalibela. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with anything we needed. They supported us in arranging both a knowledgeable local guide and a smooth transfer. The hotel stuff served very tasty meals for lunch and dinners. From each balcony the views were simply breathtaking we had two rooms and both offered incredible panoramas. Everything was clean. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Lalibela.

My stay at Top Twelve Hotel in Lalibela was great. The view overlooking the mountains and landscape was really amazing. The staff were very welcoming and accommodating. They were willing to go the extra mile to ensure I was comfortable and happy. The unique furniture also added a perfect touch to the authenticity of the experience. Our room was comfortable and very nicely decorated. The staff were very attentive and treated us like family. The food is delicious and affordable. There is a delightful gift shop. The manager organised two excellent day tours. He also went above and beyond to prepare a surprise for our wedding anniversary. The views from the balcony are stunning.

Fantastic staff, spectacular view, large rooms, geeks authentic but modern facilities. Close to everything, also has a little souvenir shop attached. I’ll certainly stay again.

Это просто чудесное место. Я не могу сравнить ни с каким другим путешествием наше пребывание в Лалибеле и непосредственно в top 12. Расположение близко ко всем церквям, при этом тихо, вид фантастический, кровати удобные, горячая вода есть, фен и чайник нам дали по первой просьбе, завтрак сытный, кофе выше всех похвал. Персонал очень заботливый. Dawit помог нам с организацией, сделал наше пребывание очень комфортным.

Pick up was arranged by Dawit from the airport and we were welcomed in the hotel. We were shown to our large and spacious room at once. After freshening up, we were treated to a traditional coffee ceremony on the veranda.
the views from the veranda and from the balcony of our room were spectacular. Dawit arranged for our tours and pick ups and lunch and dinners. It was low season for Lalibela because it was the rainy season. Repairs were ongoing in the hotel during the lean period. Thanks to Dawit and the staff of Top 12 Hotel
