A different room in, in a different location may have been very nice. Overall, it was satisfactory.
Pros:

Breakfast was average. Food items were available and hot when expected. For whatever reason, the coffee was full of coffee grounds EVERY morning but it was there and did the job. Chewing coffee is not my thing.

Cons:

I was in room 300. The room had a VERY musty smell, bordering on moldy smell. I never found any wet spots on the carpet, etc. but the smell was potent and never left. Unfortunately I also had very loud neighbors that came and went all night long, slamming doors and having loud conversations. Not the fault of the motel. Also, room 300 is right next to the stairwell which my neighbors used, so I heard 2 slamming doors all night long.

Really friendly staff, comfortable beds and room overall. Great location if you're going to NASA, not as much if you are going to downtown Houston. There are actually some restaurants and shops which you can walk to from the hotel, which is nice.

Cons:

Not much, just quite far from downtown Houston and not easy to get there, but we wanted to go to NASA and for that it was a good location - quick and not too expensive with Uber/Lyft.

Overall, a great stay and we will be back! (I have multiple doctor visits in S. Houston)
Pros:

The staff and the location of the hotel. I also like the the hotel is “updated” and has a “new” feel.

Cons:

My only complaint was the breakfast staff started the clean-up a bit early and we missed out on the toast/bagel section.

Quite disappointed, considering the global reputation of the chain. Accessibility was minimal.

Location was near our family member’s home. Shower was good.

Cons:

Recent renovations must not have gone well. The bathroom had NO ELECTRICAL OUTLETS at all for hairdryer, etc. attention was given that by staff, but nothing was done. They told us that workers would have had to run the water and electrical too near each other, so the electrical was left out! No attempt to give us any compensation or offer of new accommodations was made. There was only one chair and no sofa, and request for another chair was refused.
