Location and staff
Room and cleaning
I appreciate the staff's understanding and ability to accommodate my disability related issues. They are very caring and aware, it was a refreshing comfort. Be assured, I will definitely choose this 6 to have my 6.
I have nothing negative to say about this business.
Accessibility to the 5, restaurants and shops
I have been coming to this location for a few years now. I work in Portland monthly and need a dog friendly spot. My first visit here wasn't the best for dogs (only one small grass patch out front, a few hundred feet from my room) however I made do because of its location, price and newly renovated rooms....mine had a fridge. Cut to several visits later, theres just no consistency here. The fridge I got the first time wasn't in the room the second time I stayed, the next visit the wifi started getting patching and now by my 10+ visit the dogs aren't allowed to go to the bathroom anywhere but a parking lot filled with dog poop (grass is off limits), the wifi doesn't work and there was someones stuff just piled up in the parking lot. At one point his stuff blocked me in my room and I couldn't get out because he would unpack it all....daily he would tinker in his stuff with his dog (unleashed) and I would have to ask him to hold onto his dog as I navigated the walkway around him. This visit is my last, zero working wifi, zero legitimate area for dogs to go to the restroom, allowing guests to leave their garbage and things anywhere they please.
Location was exactly what I was looking for. Stayed in the ADA room and it was nice to have the wider entrance way/roll in shower, for the mobility hindered person I was with, but I'm not sure someone in a wheelchair would have been OK. Also easy to get in and out of, as the door opens straight into the parking lot. The room doesn't have any amenities (microwave, coffee pot, fridge, etc.), but they reached out in advance to make sure I knew that so I was prepared.
They don't offer during stay housekeeping, which was fine, except we ran out of some toiletries. Room wasn't dirty, but it also wasn't exactly clean. There were pink stains on the bathroom walls, a couple of holes in the blankets, and the corners of the rooms were dirty, like it hadn't been swept completely.
Staff was kind and professional. Room was clean. Bed was comfortable.
The walls are paper thin and at about 1230 am a room near us woke us up. At 1:30 AM we packed everything up and changed to a different room so that we could actually sleep.
