Really cool vibe, lovely staff, good location
Generally really clean room but back of bathroom door was really dirty
Breakfast looked the part but eggs were raw, whites were still clear, really don’t like to complain but would have asked for something else if someone had come to check if food was okay, ended up going to get breakfast elsewhere after having paid for it with booking
Good location, friendly staff
The blinds in the room were inoperable, the corridors were quite dark.
Funky decor. Live the area laid back and artsy. About 15 min walk to center.
WiFi glitch so no tv
Nice quirky interior , great place to be
It much
Not clean. Breakfast omelette awful
The location is a 15 min, lovely walk to the city centre and also very close to the lively docks area. The hotel is characterful and a great environment with a music vibe throughout.
The room was a little to hot throughout the night.
I love this hotel and stay here often. It’s quirky, clean, has everything you could possibly need. And the staff are amazing. Super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. There’s a massive car park opposite the hotel and it’s a short walk into town
Nothing
I picked the hotel for its proximity to the venue we were visiting (m&s arena), for that it was good.
The staff were friendly at the venue.
The location externally wasn't good, we came into the building with a gang of people on electric bikes in balaclavas attacking a just eat driver right outside the front door. This set a bad tone and scared my family who I was travelling with.
Then things like other guests vaping in the hallway, windows not being latched on the 4th floor and security locks for the floor access not working added to the concern. Cigarette butt's in the gutters outside the windows where other guests have clearly been smoking in the room etc.
My partner asked to move to another hotel as our child was scared. If we had have been visiting for longer than one night I would have moved.
The facilities, the staff and the location
The price
Very nice comfy and clean
Decor was lovely, it was nice that the sofa bed had its own space, as we were travelling with our teenager
The bathroom door was a sliding door, and had a few issues getting out, as it didn’t have a handle.
Also we didn’t book breakfast, and went down and was told there wasn’t enough ☹️
Location was great, staff were friendly and helpful
Room was quite small for a “large double”. shower was very tight and door of the shower was broken. We also couldn’t raise one of the blinds as the remote wasn’t provided
Quirky, great location
Booked a stay then extended a day early via phone, had a call after the first day to say we hadn’t checked out even though I’d already said about staying in the same room and reception said that they had sorted it. The guy on the phone checked the system and everything was cleared up politely.
I then received a call a few days later from a very rude woman. I was just in the middle of cooking for 100 guests at our event with my phone ringing loads and said I’m just really really busy can I call you straight back, to which she replied “NO” in a very rude tone, she said we’ve give your room to someone else and we “gotta get your stuff out now” this got my back up I must admit. I then got one of my employees to call back and she proceeded to slag me off to him saying I was “dead rude”
Considering I’ve paid for several days for one employee to stay and previously had two more employees a few weeks ago stay for several days I feel like a bit more of a professional attitude towards a paying guest who’s booked more than a one night stay is warranted. My staff have stated that the hotel itself is great and we were looking at booking in April for 2 more employees for 10 nights I feel a bit of a unsavoury taste towards the hotel. I would like to hear from management regarding said issue
Helpful pleasant staff, lovely rooms and well presented and clean.
There wasn’t a plug point near a mirror, the shower tray wasn’t deep enough for the flow of water and there wasn’t a large enough shower screen. Unfortunately, the smoke alarm was set off by using the shower with the steam.
There is noise in the area from nearby music bars.
