Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, wenn vorhanden. Die Klimaanlage war defekt. Sie konnte während des Aufenthaltes nicht repariert werden."Wegen einem Gerät können wir keinen Monteur holen. Wir können ihr Fenster während ihrer Abwesenheit öffnen lassen." Am letzten Tag bot man uns einen Wechsel des Zimmers an. Wir wissen nicht, ob wir wiederkommen.

Licht und Schatten zu einem hohen Preis.
Pros:

Das Hotel bot anläßlich des Ironman 70.3 Duisburg ein umfangreiches Frühstück bereits ab 5 Uhr morgens an. Regulär startet das Frühstück am Sonntag um 7 Uhr. Dies wurde seitens der Athleten sehr gut angenommen und ist bei vielen Hotels nicht selbstverständlich.

Cons:

Die Parkplätze rund um das Hotel sind an eine Fremdfirma vergeben, die ab 15 Minuten "unerlaubter" Parkdauer 30 € berechnet. Da man mit Ausladen und evtl. Schlange beim Check-In schnell die 15 Minuten überschreitet, ist dies natürlich kein guter Start. Man parkt besser im Parkhaus in der Nähe. Weiterhin war der Toilettensitz komplett lose. Der Hausmeister war am Wochenende nicht im Einsatz, schade. Da das Hotel am Hafenbecken liegt kommt nachts schon einmal ein sehr lautes Diskoschiff vorbei, aber geschenkt, kein Problem.

Centrale Lage, gutes Frühstück

Cons:

Keine Unterstellmöglichkeit für Fahrräder. Es gibt hinter dem Haus zahlreiche Fahrradanschließbügel. Das bedeutet wohl, dass mit vielen Rafahrern als Gäste gerechnet wird. Eine Garage oder einen Fahrradschuppen gibt es aber nicht. Deshalb Punktabzug!
