clean, well maintained, courteous staff
Location is little away from centre. Inhouse restaurant is good but slightly expensive and no nearby restaurants outside hotel.
Spacious room
Bad room service, we had to ask for towels thrice. Toilet paper and tissues were not refilled. The carpet in the room was extremely dirty. The towels provided was torn. Not work 6.5k at all

Good property to stay in a town like Shimoga
Gtound floor washroom was floded , bed was too soft got back pain. Had to apply moov and sleep
Bathroom was not clean - looked like the housekeeping had never even used toilet brush after the previous guest left .. restaurant staff was not very attentive .. if you are visiting jog falls, better stay in gokarna than shimoga ...

Excellent property with good value all round
We booked Harsha Fern for a night stay to attend a wedding near by. When I booked this place, was hoping the room will be maintained well however it wasn’t.
When we checked in, the room given had broken door lock, non working Tv, dead cockroach in bathroom, there was dust in every corner of the room, the room walls were torn, in bathroom the basic amenities like tooth brush, comb etc wasn’t even there. Anyways, we called reception and they arranged another room. That came with it’s own things; the bathroom shower glass door wasn’t sliding, how does one supposed to take bath? We managed somehow. The couch in room had stains all over it, disgusting. Also, there wasn’t the toilet paper, bathroom had just one toothbrush, come on when hotel knows two people and a kid is staying, at least keep another toothbrush? To my surprise there were no hand towels only bath towels were given. I strongly suggest management to look into these basic things because when you name a place “International” please try to provide such standard facilities including cleanliness within the room.
During checkout, the staff at reception dint even care to ask how was our stay, I’m assuming they knew the feedback I would provide. Anyway, the place need lot of improvements, but not a worth of money to stay. I would find a different place for same amount elsewhere.
The staff was polite, helpful, professional. I live in Chicago, was here for a night, this is my second visit, this hotel is on par with hotels in US and better than some even. I will visit again.
