A lovely old Inn in a beautiful village. Very friendly and helpful young staff. Food was delicious and plentiful. Room was spacious and well equipped, even offered fresh milk on arrival which is unusual in our experience.
I found the pillows a bit too firm for my liking but that's a minor point as we were only there for one night.
The staff were all extremely friendly and made a point of chatting to you. The room, restaurant and bar areas were very clean. There was parking available.
Only limited car parking and roads around the village were often already full of cars. Our room had an adjoining room.
Dry nicely appointed. Comfortable. Staff were exceptionally pleasant and welcoming. Good delicious. Very good service.
Nothing to dislike.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious.
Bed was a bit soft ,but this is my personal opinion .
I prefer a slightly firmer matress.
A very nice, comfortable room in an old village centre pub. Good food, friendly staff and roaring fires. Lovely atmosphere - we’ll definitely be back! 😊😊
Great location. Good choice of bars etc and a good room with the dog. Staff, food and comfort excellent. Would go again.
Shower room but no sink, which was in the toilet next room. Not a problem really.
Lovely breakfast, beautiful (award winning!)
village
The history of the hotel was fascinating. It was very friendly. Room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was out standing.
Didn’t find anything to complain about.
the staff , food and ambiance was fantastic. Super comfortable rooms
Staff were friendly and attentive. Room was excellent. Restaurant meals were exceptional
All good
Lovely charming village and super clean and friendly area . Rooms were clean and we looked out over the square , beautiful village. Food was good and staff super efficient .
Nothing
Everything, quality of food, customer service from very friendly staff, warm rooms , local ales.
Mobile phone signal, or really lack of.
We had a lovely two-night stay at The Bell. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. We enjoyed dinner at the pub on both evenings, and the food was excellent each time.
The staff truly went above and beyond for us — and for our pooch too! A special shout-out to Zac, who was outstanding throughout our stay. His customer service skills are exceptional, and he’s a real credit to the pub.
We wouldn’t hesitate to return and highly recommend The Bell to others.
Staff generally were attentive and friendly, evening meal in the restaurant was really enjoyable. Clean.
It was my husband's 50th and the staff in the restaurant made it a little special. Dogs not allowed in the restaurant.
Breakfast was disappointing, we stayed in the pheasant room which was above the entrance door- whenever someone came in and went out, the loud bang rattled through the building - sitting on the bed you could feel the shake - really wasn't the chilled out experience we were looking for. The price of the bar snacks were a little high..£8 for 3 small pork bon bons was too much. There's no clear designated check in area. When we arrived we kinda just hovered around the bar and waited around. For £150 the room was small, tired and fairly basic.
