Pros:

Denise was very welcoming and the location is great. Our Cavalier loved scampering about on the upstairs verandah. We enjoyed taking our breakfast and a few takeaway dinners out there as well.

Beware, prepare to be disappointed !

Condition of the place was so awful we couldn't stomach staying there & actually had to forfeit one night's accommodation to bail. Very run down establishment, overflowing bins, steep staircase,grotty cupboard where so called breakfast was kept. Overpriced for this hotel which is more of a backpackers dump.( Probably luxury if the alternative was camping on the ground under the stars, but not suitable for us). I should have taken photos to show how disappointing it was! Rate it 1 out of 10. The 1 for the nice lady on the desk the next day who refunded me 1 of the 2 nights accommodation. Had a geat stay at The Banksia Motel down the road which I rate 9 out of 10 by comparison. From old,tired, unkempt to very nicely presented & appointed. Highy recommend this one!

Excellent service. I loved staying here and will stay again. Beautiful old Hotel with so much history. Cafe is delightful and excellent service and food.

Pros:

We like staying at old pubs so couldn’t complain about the conditions too much but the owner was fantastic and we meet several nice people that where staying as well the only thing was we couldn’t have a drink and dinner as they aren’t open at night but over all great weekend

It was a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and helpful. A fabulous place to take the family along with your furry family member. The place has lots of history with it being over 100 years old. The place is currently be restored to its original state. The property is very convenient being on the main road and within walking distance to shops and the towns rail history centre. We loved our stay here and are planning a trip back. We would highly recommend this place for a family and pet friendly stay.
