Where to even begin lol 😆.

My sister & I typically stay in Airbnb’s when we get together for a visit, however, staying here at this hotel was more in our budget this time around. Even still, it was almost $300 for the 3 night stay and to me, that’s not cheap.

Upon checking which we had 2 huge suitcases and LOTS of heavy bags and of course, the elevator was and still is broken (4 days later) and nobody offered to help with bringing our items to our room or even putting us in a ground floor room. We had to lug everything up by ourselves two flights of stairs.

Anyway, we got checked in and noticed a familiar smell, but didn’t think much of it at first…
We proceed to unpack the cooler full of food because the hotel room had a kitchenette. I guess somewhere in the small print they do tell you that the room DOES NOT come equipped with ANY kitchen amenities I.e. coffee pot (separate fee- not sure how much?), plates, bowls & utensils $30, pots, pans $40 and extra linens (??).

As we inspected the room not only was the room not cleaned/ swept properly because clearly the top blanket had LAYERS of dust/ dirt,
there was food on the backsplash of the stove, someone’s dirty sock in the shower, beer bottle caps on the floor by the front door AND BLACK MOLD ALL up in the AC unit and around the framing in the window.
We brought this to the hotels attention which they sent somebody in to bleach the AC unit (but if you know anything about black mold- it doesn’t remedy the solution). The bleaching actually made the smell sooo much worse to the point we couldn’t even use the air conditioning during the rest of our stay and had to keep the windows open and endure the VERY LOUD sound of the highway….

The only reason why we are graciously giving this hotel even 1 star is because at least there wasn’t cockroaches, mice or bed bugs, yet lol.

Clean

Having dirty towels in my room and asked to bring the basket of dirty towels to front desk.

I felt like the security deposit was ridiculously high given it was more than the cost of the room i agreed to pay for. I was blindsided by the amount at check in, and would have been a problem if I didnt have the extra amount because I had already paid for the room when i booked it..

They lost power saturday night of our stay, they told us , power would be up by midnight, they lied. Sunday came we were told then, that power would be up by 6, we had a graduation to go, so thought ok. No power sunday night, the place is dirty with the wood floors, sweep more.

No complaints

There wasn't any complimentary bath soap. I saw 1 small tube of shampoo. There was a bar of soap that we all used to wash our hands. The vent in the bathroom didnt seem to keep the mirror from steaming up.
A suggestion from me is to have another lamp sitting on the desk table. The lights were so bright that it would disturb a person sleeping while otheres were talking.

There was no breakfast. No provided toiletries -which I believe to be the bare minimum at an establishment like this. The bed covers and the bed runner had other people’s hair on it. A lot of it. Made me feel like they were improperly cleaned or vacuumed and still put on the bed. It was uncomfortable putting those dirty things to my skin. The room was too hot and the AC didn’t seem to be able to go lower in temp. The lights in the room and the bathroom were the white, blindingly bright kind. There was no soft light to allow the body to start winding down at night.

The hallway had a smell - maybe from cooking since it's a short stay hotel with kitchenettes. They could stand to air out the hallway - but the smells are not in the rooms.

The hotel. The room smelled bad and the timer was not clean, I tons the person at tia and she did absolutely nothing. Stared that guest can clean the room, I hadn’t been there for 24hrs.
