The fireplace area outside and the stray cat. More so the stray cat.
It’s severely outdated. Rooms are small. Was there 3 days and did not see a single employee. My key was left on the front desk with my name on it for anyone to take. Website boasts spa and resort but couldn’t book anything and it definitely didn’t feel like a resort.
It was convenient because it was in the same location as the wedding we attended.
We were supposed to have a room with 2 beds but only had one and it was cold in our room.
They did a beautiful job renovating this property. It is beautiful. I will definitely return to this location.
The service was awesome!!!!! We loved the two gals who were always available for anything we needed!
Liked the historic part of it. My mom worked there in her teens when it was the blind school
No food availability, no map of the grounds no info on where food could be obtained or how to get somewhere to eat. No one close to reservation desk had to wait approximately 20-30 mins to get checked in.
No one at the front desk to check in or out! There was a phone # to call for help. Went right to voice mail and said they'd call us in a 1/2 hour. Had to go and find someone to come to the desk. Room had no chairs just 2 beds. Shower flooded on to the floor in the bathroom - had to use all of the towels to mop it up.
See above!!
It's a small little place in a very small town. The fact they have a 19 room motel is incredible. It is a renovated school house. They did an awesome job.
The only thing I would improve on is a better distinction of the main entrance to the office of the hotel/motel. I didn't notice the small "Open" sign window until after I found it.
Peaceful surroundings
Restaurant was in between cooks, so a very limited basket menu just , plus could hear conversations in the next room
Charlie was totally awesome, Charlie was a staff member of the resort!!!
The coffee ☕️ maker in the lobby wasn't working!!!
There was nothing offered except for coffee with our stay
Unique
Nothing
We held a product training meeting here. The event room was perfect! They were so accommodating. The history and design of the space fell in line with our interiors backgrounds. That made it even more of a perfect venue.
Patricia and Charlie cheffed up a delightful dinner for us in the Rock Room. I will forever be hoping to find a local pizza that matches up. I appreciate that they strive to use local ingredients.
Although this was a business event, I felt it was more of a bed and breakfast experience. A++++
Thank you Patricia and Charlie!
The guy that checked us in just tossed us the room card an took off. Didn't know about any amenities or anything.
