Denvir's of Downpatrick

I have stayed at Denvirs in Downpatrick before and it is wonderful. It dates from 1642 and Eoin, one of the staff can give you the history of the place. He is wonderful as well as the manager and all the staff. The food can't be beat either. A must stay in Downpatrick!

OMG - too many internal doors.

It is central and has a cosy pub feel. The dinner and breakfast were very good. What stood out was the friendliness of the staff.

Was not sure what to expect as last minute decision to stay but we were very happy with the tucked away room we got. Lovely fit out / safe etc pub food was really appreciated as well. Would stay at again.

This was a perfect stop for us on our trip, so convenient, great staff, food and a wonderful pub with live music. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.

Lovely stay. Up visiting family for the night. The room we were in was very basic but the food and staff made up for that. Lovely attentive staff when we told them about a problem in the room and the dinner and breakfast was top class. Parking could be difficult to get

Stayed here to attend the Amgden Irish Open and the walking distance to the bus depot was convenient and close.
Clean and comfy rooms with really nice bathroom.

Nice room, great shower, mattress was a bit lumpy, excellent food & friendly staff

We accidentally booked this stay a month early. We were in immediate contact with Hotels.com as well as the hotel. Hotels .com did nothing to try to reimburse us. The hotel said they would take care of it directly when we visited. When we got there the hotel said they could not take care of it but did give us a food voucher. The booking was obviously a mistake but no one would rectify it for us and refund our money.

Fantastic hosts having a restaurant and Bar plus live music in one place is just the best.

A great little place with amazing staff, the area is central to lots. The food is excellent and a nice warm pub atmosphere, our room was spacious, clean and had everything we needed (no fridge or microwave).

Booked 2 rooms back in December. But when we arrived we were given 1 room in the building and another in Denvir's Mews a total different building. Not what I booked but thats all that was available.

Not a regular hotel but in a good way

Too noisey, like a rough suburb of Marseille.
People friendly but area shocking. No parking.

A traditional country inn punching above its weight by friendly obliging staff.

Lack of parking onsite more than compensated for by a great breakfast.

Always a joy staying there
