Extremely friendly people and the food was delicious, Hotel first impression was underwhelming but lovely when you get inside. Very pleasing.
Lovely hotel. Comfy bed. Food on evening & breakfast excellent. Friendly owners.
Drumbeg Hotel was an excellent stay on our NC500 trip. The road to it as described by others was very challenging but well worth the views. Hotel has parking and the owners were friendly and helpful. Dinner was amazing, homecooked. Bar well stocked. We stayed in two of the double rooms, Stag and Thistle and they were amazing! Beautifully decorated, beds very comfortable and views outstanding. We even got given a flask with fresh milk for tea. Breakfast offered a good menu and was of a really high standard. A boutique hotel! Would thoroughly recommend.
Great Breakfast
A beautiful little hotel in an idyllic location - on the Drumbeg loop. Superb food and lovely, welcoming owners. Well equipped and very comfortable room. Great selection of whiskies too. Highly recommend.
Peaceful and quaint and the owners were very down to earth friendly.
A wonderfully special place
Food was fantastic and the hosts lovely. It’s an older property but everything was clean and tidy.
Nice location on the NC500, free parking, comfy bed and a great breakfast
The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The room was clean and the hotel was nice and quiet.
Quick and easy check-in and run by a lovely couple. Spotlessly clean. One of the highlights of our stay (and quite unexpected) was the little bar and free to play pool table providing a few hours of entertainment in the evening after a long day on the road! We also enjoyed a hearty, home-cooked dinner and breakfast too, both delicious and with a beautiful view!
We had a lovely overnight in Drumbeg - friendly hosts, comfortable room, and great meals with a beautiful view.
During our driving holiday around Scotland, we booked a stay at the Drumbeg Hotel in the Lochinver area, and it turned out to be a real highlight of our trip. The journey into Drumbeg itself is an experience – a picturesque and adventurous drive along some of the most scenic and narrow roads we've ever encountered.
The hotel has a rustic, old-world charm that immediately makes you feel at home. While the rooms are on the smaller side, they are clean, cosy, and welcoming.
One of the standout features is the dining room, which offers a wonderful view of the water – the perfect backdrop for a relaxing meal. Speaking of meals, the food was absolutely delicious and comforting, some of the best we've had during our travels.
Highly recommended for anyone exploring this beautiful part of Scotland and looking for a place with character, charm, and great food.
Little family run hotel, very clean, great service and great food.
Quirky decor, very clean and food was excellent, we had dinner as well as breakfast with a great view outside of the loch from the dining room.
Our room was very humble but clean and set up with everything we needed for an overnight stay. The host was attentive and had a great sense of humour and useful driving tips. The road in and out is narrow and one lanes, but the scenery was outstanding. The home cooked meal was fabulous.
Highly recommend this hotel relaxing atmosphere and home from home. Richard and Fiona were excellent hosts. Well worth the visit if you can manage the road.😃
Nice room and hotel ( not the biggest of room but big enough)
Bar was closed early but limited guests in so guess that was why so couldn’t use this facility
Breakfast was great !!!
Excellent hotel !!!
Friendly homely hotel. Excellent service, food superb. Highly recommended staying there if you have the chance.
