Everything! The pool and hot tub were very nice. Excellent gym. Our room was spacious and very comfortable with beautiful views. We added in the breakfast and it was exceptional. Michelle in the Restaurant, and Marina (I hope I have the name correct) at the front desk were great and definitely added to a great vacation. We will be staying here EVERY time we visit the area!!!
Honestly there’s nothing bad!
The parking lot was not even plowed . What a mess. Our room wasn’t ready till AFTER 4:00 .
The stairs leading to lake/ ice castle were not shoveled and was one layered mess of ice/ snow and o fell hurting my shoulder
The upkeep outside and efficiency of staff
The scenery
I had a better room last time I was there.
Excellent location, amazing views and immaculate. Great facilities ans all kept beautifully clean. Will be staying again on my next visit.
The view
The cleanliness of the room and some of the staff were less than pleasant.
The property was beautiful, up to date, and very comfortable!
Nothing, everything was great!
Hotel was extremely clean and well run. Staff were great- kind and helpful.
The hotel felt like an express business hotel, not a lux hotel. I was hoping for something more unique and less commercial. Heat was not working in the restaurant and they had run out of a lot of menu items. Hotel also contracts to house national guard troops, which was not expected and changed the ambiance.
Location is gorgeous
All good
Dining outdoors by the lake was wonderful, we recommend the fresh fish special & the Mexican shrimp cocktail!
The music in the main dining room was too loud, even from an outdoor table. It is great to give local musicians an opportunity to perform but the amplification seemed excessive.
We had lady bugs in the room. The walls are very thin so we could hear the people above us walking around. Was mostly disappointed that I did not get a Water view room . I booked this months ago and requested it. Although it was not guaranteed I was upset especially since I paid a lot to stay at your facility . Breakfast was included.. the breakfast food and service was ok. We did have lunch outside the day we arrived and the waitress was wonderful . The picture on your website of the property was very different once we arrived. The outside of the hotel didn’t look anything like the picture on the website.
So we stayed five nights for Xmas holiday in 2025 and this hotel is complicated. We have stayed in the area many times and this hotel was new to us and mainly we stayed because of the hot tub.. which is a nice hot tub, it is one of the most expensive hotels in the area and just to be clear there are no amenities, barely free coffee in the morning, the bar is not open, their restaurant is only open for breakfast except for a large contingent of National Guard staying at the hotel, something to do with a prison strike. But the hotel seems underfunded, like they will only will give out breakfast vouchers one day at time, no one at the front desk a lot of the time, no tea or hot water in the afternoon for post ski beverage even with your own tea bag! It has like a "low-end Holiday Inn" feel.. no little shop with amenities so my suggestion is the Hotel Saranac around the corner which is wonderful or a Lake Placid hotel with a pool, this place is just not worth the money.. too bad we were hopeful!
Very convenient location and great rooms.
