I was royally scammed by this property...i booked online at 7,500 per night and when i reached the hotel...i noticed that rack rate was only INR 4,000 MAP. I understand about surge pricing, but this was not ethical at all. Caution to everyone intending to book a room here...DO NOT give credit card details...you will forfeit at least one night tariff if you decide to cancel. Stay date 18-05-2026 to 20-05-2026.

S No 1-I understand online platform charges commission for booking made through them...but rates are mentioned by you. Same platforms are now offering your room for INR 3,000 also...my point is about ethics.
S No 2 - INR 4,000 incl breakfast, is very true. i saw the register you maintain, and also spoke to 2 other guests who were staying there at that time.
S No 3-Extra bed costs INR 500. Even then it cost me ~ INR 7,000 per night vis-a-vis INR 4k which was the rack rate.
No, your justification is not satisfactory. Please be ethical....not predatory. We come as tourists to enjoy the place...not to be scammed.
Also, this hotel claims to be 4*. I am not sure if they were awarded 4* by an accredited agency. More likely, the hotel has declared itself to be 4*. It is more like 2*
One more fun fact-mmt (makemytrip-indian aggregator with dubious practices-I booked a hotel through them once-which did not exist!!!) is listing the same room for same dates at ~ INR 4,500 whereas at booking.com, it is INR 7k plus. Interesting? Puzzling?
Being a bit away from the city, it’s relatively quiet. The staff are courteous, the owner is friendly and helpful. The view of the Dhauladhars from the terrace is excellent.

The hotel has a lovely river running by which sounds lovely, especially at night. The staff were very helpful and friendly: arranged taxi for sight seeing The food was very nice and good value The location is in a quite area and close to a lovely Buddhist temple and gardens where you can spend time and eat as well.

I recently stayed at serene suites and it was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this hotel does not prioritize customer satisfaction.

The room was spotless and comfortable, and the food was of excellent quality and they arranged our specific requirements also. The hospitality was top-notch, with the host being exceptionally kind and attentive. The location and view from the rooms are also excellent. Highly recommended.

My stay at Serene Suites started smoothly but quickly turned sour. Despite booking a half-board room, I was shocked to discover that essential menu items like fish, mutton, any tandoor items and even naan were unavailable since I booked the room with dinner being included in the price.This meant that I could only get veg items and non tandoor chicken items. When I questioned this, the room service attendant laughed on my face. This was nowhere mentioned.Later, when I had finished eating, the manager apologized and offered to arrange food from a nearby restaurant, but it was too late. While the staff acknowledged their mistake, the lack of transparency and inconvenience left me disappointed. I won't be returning to Serene Suites and can't recommend it.
