Staff amazing all shifts. All positions. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Never have felt welcomed.
Nothing really.
The staff and overall facility was great
They need to get the second elevator fixed , with only one elevator working at times you wait for a bit longer than you like to
Very clean, friendly staff, good location
No complaints

How you had to wait for breakfast and not know what you had to do with the tickets
I stay there often, and it’s great

Wonderful receptionist checking guests in after midnight. What an exceptional person you have on staff and I hope you treat her as well as she treated me when I checked in after a long day.
Water pressure in the shower isn’t great but it’s not a huge deal.
The staff was congenial and helpful.
The breakfast buffet was very good.
Clifton and Rosalina went above and beyond… they were excellent!
The HVAC system was on cold and blower on high. We had to put a bath towel and king pillow over the unit to keep the room tolerable. We did inform housekeeping and she was as immediately on the phone to inform someone.
Front desk lady was awesome. Nice location
The internet kept getting disconnected, I was on a business show . I finally had to go on the show with my cell phone, avoiding their internet.
Coffee maker did not work. Any premium tv channels wanted my personal sign on…I don’t remember them…regular tv had nothing…so I just did online shows.
I also thought I requested a handicap room..I could hardly get off the low toilet. No bars around to help me. I couldn’t take a shower as I couldn’t get into it.
Clean organized ,
This HGI Southern Pines has been one of my favorite hotels for many years. We come often for competitions. It’s always been rated the top HGI in North America. However this visit had me doubting the hotel.
My favorite thing about this hotel has always been the bar and lounge area. The bartender was always the same for years. This year there is new people. I visited Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. Friday afternoon service was fine but nothing above and beyond. I ordered my favorite blackened salmon salad off the special menu. Although the salad was delicious, the salmon was not seasoned or blackened, as I was typically accustomed to. The bartender was genuinely kind, but also new and not aware of the special specials menu. On Saturday and night I went later in the evening. It was by no means busy and a different bartender seemed to have no urgency in taking anyone’s order. Was very forgetful about our drinks and also told us that there was no special menu after speaking to her for a bit she got “permission” from the chef to accommodate our salads. This time my salad was delicious and came out blackened and seasoned. I would expect in a hotel restaurant like this that there be consistency in the meal.
Secondly, on this visit, my room smelled like a wet dog. Well I know that this hotel is pet friendly. I expect them to maintain clean rooms and although the room looked clean, it smelled like pet and dander. I expressed my concern to the front desk and they offered to spray it, which did not help. They also offered to move me, but at that point in the stay, I had already unpacked all my things and did not want to have to move. If you are going to offer a pet friendly atmosphere you need to ensure that the rooms smell nice for the next guest.
I will add the two front desk staff have been there for years and are very kind. I know the gentlemen is Bernard but the woman’s name escapes me.
Facility is very clean and modern. Staff was friendly and professional
