Hotel zentral im Ort und nah zum Bahnhof.Ideal für Wandertouren

Hotel Hirsch staat in een fantastische omgeving, een prachtige uitvalsbasis voor wandelingen in alle richtingen. Net naast het station, erg handig. Het hotel is gebouwd in 1925, en het aantal renovaties sindsdien is beperkt gebleven. Maar dat draagt bij aan hoe schatrig het allemaal is, zullen we maar zeggen.

The room was spacious, the price was great, and the people are fantastic. The location is just over the river and our balcony was positioned immediately over it with a wonderful view. We are especially grateful for the staff, who not only tolerated the antics of our two-year-old, but went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.

Das Hotel ist zwar etwas in die Jahre gekommen, aber sauber und zweckmäßig. Überragend der sympathische Service, Essen im Restaurant hat uns begeistert, wir hatten sehr feine Spargelgerichte. Das alles zu wirklich günstigen Preisen. Inzwischen der zweite Aufenthalt und es folgen weitere!

Supernette Mitarbeiter, hotel sauber, Essen lecker

In diesem familiengeführten Hotel fühlt man sich von Anfang an sehr wohl. An vielen Dingen sieht man, dass hier die sympathische Chefin/der Chef selbst Hand angelegt hat. Das Essen wird mit Liebe zubereitet und serviert und jeder Sonderwunsch erfüllt. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Natur des Schwarzwaldes erfüllt den Besucher mit viel positiver Energie. In dieses Haus kommt man immer gerne wieder.

Arrived at 3.45 and front door locked. You had to ring a bell to get admitted after 10 minutes.
No public lounge or garden so you had to sit at your allocated table if you wanted to use the hotel during the morning or afternoon. Rooms a bit run down.

Restaurant was very good though with local dishes. Excellent choice at breakfast.
All in all just ok.

Hotelli oli erittäin mukava ja siisti. Henkilökunta oli erittäin ystävällinen ja auttavainen. Hotellissa on oma ravintola, missä ruoka oli todella hyvää, mutta ainoa miinus oli, että ruokaa sai odottaa ihan kohtuuttoman kauan. Alkuruoan saamiseen (jossa oli siis salaatti ja neljä isoa katkarapua) meni yli tunti. Mutta ruoka oli kyllä erittäin hyvää ravintolassa. Sinne kannattaa ilmeisesti kuitenkin tehdä varaus sillä se on ilmeisesti kylässä aika suosittu paikka etenkin viinkonloppuna. Itse en pitänyt siitä, että hotelli on erittäin koiraystävällinen ja se tiedetään asiakkaiden keskuudessa, joten siellä on niitä koiria joka toisella vierailijalla ja ne kulkee mukana niin aamupalalle kuin päivälliselle. Aamupala oli erittäin hyvä vaikka koiria siellä olikin joka toisen pöydän alla. Mutta etenkin allergikkojen kannattaa tämä huomioida. Hotellissa oli hyvä ilmainen pysäköinti.

Hotellin takaa alkaa n. 12 km vaellusreitti, mikä oli ihan kiva aamulenkki. Lisäksi Ranskan Strarbourgiin on n. 50 km matkaa jossa kävimme ekstempore päiväkahvilla ja oli kiva lisä reissuumme.

We chose this hotel because of the location and it's dog friendly status. I assumed the dogs would not be a problem, but they were treated as guests in their own right. Immediately the staff informed us that the dogs were allowed anywhere we were allowed. There was a cleaning station outside and one inside as well as treats for the pups. I was impressed. Everything else was also lovely, the pictoresque location over the river, the restaurant food, breakfast buffet and service. Parking is right outside the hotel and there are other places in town to park if it gets full. Our room was large, charminly decorated and had it's own balcony. We will stay here again!

Weekend with a friend for hiking

Down tiny little lane off main road - easily missed, but Satnav found it. Lovely setting next to small river - very peaceful, although there is a small train line runs at the back, but well screened by trees.
Arrived at 4 pm and found front door locked - took a while to gain entry, which was not appreciated on a hot day after a long journey ! However, this was my only criticism, and in all other ways owners and staff were very obliging, and everything else was fine. Front door always seemed to be open after that !

Arriving in the evening, we were warmly welcomed by the family running the Hotel. The room was comfortable, clean and the breakfast delicious. The Hotel is dog friendly and specialises in our furry friends - wonderful! We walked the pathway mountain trails behind the hotel the following day and had a coffee and piece of Black Forest Cake at a local mountain cafe - a special day indeed - I recommend that hotel and the Black Forest experience

Wir waren nur eine Nacht dort. Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und betreut. Das Frühstücksbuffet war top.

What a wonderful find! The people, the room, the ease of finding this place was a nice surprise. They have a very good restaurant here too. German people full of smiles and they could not have been nicer or more helpful. English speaking, easy going and NO complaints! We will stay there again even if we are not exploring the Black Forest.

The hotel is homely, friendly and although in some ways a throwback to the 70's in a nostalgic, we enjoyed our stay. We had a huge room, directly above the river that flows below. Its a perfect location for hiking and the food wasn't bad either.

Angenehmer Aufenthalt. Es waren nur sehr wenige Gäste im Hotel, trotzdem wurde ein sehr umfangreiches Frühstückbuffet hergerichtet.Das Zimmer war leicht angewärmt was bei den temperaturen sehr angenem war. Freundlicher Frühstücksservice mir wurde sofort ein weiches Ei angeboten. Zur übernachtung habe ich ein Doppelzimmer erhalten.Alles in allem sgutes Preis Leistungsverhältnis.
