The breakfast was great. The rooms were very clean.
In our room, #333, there were no dresser drawers to put clothes in. The console had no drawers. The only place to put folded clothes/pants was on the top shelf in the closet.
This is a beautiful Hotel, superior staff, beautifully decorated. Hotel is adjacent to the stockyards making it easy to walk and explore the area.
It’s very expensive.
Hotel atmosphere and decor. Staff was wonderful.
Absolutely a wonderful experience in the moment you walk in the door to the moment you leave everything is excellent
Beautiful property, elegant and rustic and gorgeous
There was nothing I did not like about this property
We always love the Autograph Collection hotels and this one did not disappoint! Loved everything about Hotel Drover. THE best location if you are staying in The Stockyards. Very modern decor but with a rustic TX charm that was lovely. The Christmas decorations were stunning. Most of the staff were very friendly. Great little coffee bar in the lobby that doubles as a bar at night. The lobby was THE place to be seen. Can't remember the last time I stayed in a hotel where everyone hung out in the lobby area so much…. probably because this feels like the coziest living room ever. Lots of comfy outdoor seating options behind the hotel with space heaters and even 6 or so fire pits. We enjoyed sitting outside with a drink watching all the people take photos in front of the giant Christmas tree dressed up in their cowboy hats and boots. If you have cowboy boots and a hat, BRING THEM! We felt a little out of place in normal Ohio attire. :)
Our rooms were really comfortable. Great A/C, good water pressure, comfortable bed, big TV in the bathroom while getting ready, very quiet.
Our room rate included breakfast in the restaurant which was good with good service and lovely ambiance. It also included a luggage tag that you could get branded with your initials "in the backyard" area near the fire pits at a certain time.
The concierge was super nice and gave us lots of fun tips for our day in Dallas.
If we ever make it back to the Stockyards area, we wouldn't stay anywhere else.
Wow, what a disappointment! For the amount we paid we are very disappointed. The friendliness of the staff was abysmal and the fact that a $700 per night room did not have a table to have room service breakfast was shocking. This place is clearly overrated and the management really does not care because people flock to this hotel - why? Who knows
Hotel Drover is a true luxury cowboy–inspired hotel, thoughtfully designed for those who live the western lifestyle. Details like the boot jacks, proper storage for hats, belts, and cigars show how well they understand their guests. The two bars, fireplaces, outdoor spaces, and the custom Lucchese store on-site make the experience truly exceptional.
The bathroom floor was not properly mopped during housekeeping. I know this because a smoothie spilled on the floor upon arrival and remained there for all three nights. There was also a slight smell, likely due to poor ventilation or insufficient cleaning. Additionally, the front desk staff did not feel particularly welcoming, and there did not seem to be a visible manager on duty, which was surprising for a luxury hotel.
The attention to detail of the western and cowboy themes are amazing! The service staff is top notch and the lobby, courtyard, restaurants and bars are absolutely beautiful. When people say don’t worry about booking a nice hotel you’re never in the room. Well you’re going to be if you stay at Hotel Drover!
Beautifully decorated for Christmas
Location
Unable to get served
The Drover facilitates walk ins/ non residents hence the overcrowding.
I could have stayed in a cheaper hotel which was equally as good and made use of facilities in The Drover Hotel for free!!
Richard D. (Valet) and Pali (Bellman) are 100% professional and showed us such genuine care. They hotel was absolutely gorgeous for Christmas.
It’s beautiful! Top notch.
Nothing!
