When I come back to Newport, Hammetts is the only place I would stay!
Pros:

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The location could not be beat! The water views were spectacular. The hotel itself was clean and impressive!

The location is unparalleled . The decor is very tasteful with a modern nautical hint.

Cons:

The rooms are small and lack a chair, refrigerator and safe. Otherwise, well-appointed with luxurious linen and bedding. Obviously the hotel assumes, probably correctly, that clients will spend very little time in the rooms because they are in the heart of Newport. The valet service is very convenient and essentially mandatory given the location.

Прекрасное расположение,красивый и просторный номер,доброжелательный персонал. Много ресторанов вокруг-особенно понравился ирландский в 3х минутах пешком. Да и сам городок прекрасен-гулять там сплошное удовольствие!

Nice hotel. Good location.
Pros:

The hotel was in a great location and very clean. Staff welcoming.

Cons:

Elevator not working the first 24 hours. Rooms on the small size but doable. Had to walk down to the lobby to get cup of coffee in the morning. Nothing in room. Could not believe all the different taxes and fees on hotel bill balance!

Cons:

For a pleasant hotel with very basic amenities, the price is not line for the off season. Location is good and pleasant but the prices are still high for what the hotel offers. The spring and summer can command this rate but it is not there yet.
