Hammetts Hotel

We experienced the best accommodations at the Hammetts Hotel. Our ADA room was spacious and well appointed. The location of the hotel was central and just a few minutes walking distance to all restaurants and stores.
The Front desk, Liz, John and Carlos were wonderful from check in to check out. Thank you for a memorable three day stay. I highly recommend booking at the Hammetts Hotel.

My wife and I had a great stay at Hammets and Carlos was great and thoughtful! He knew it was our birthdays and left us a sweet birthday card and chocolates to celebrate. He was very attentive and authentic!

We loved Hammetts!! From the arrival to the valet - the front desk girl - our room. Everything was fantastic. The room was a boutique room - but was plenty big for our little stay. Our view of the marina was a delight. We loved sitting out on the patio area. A great picture spot! The location was perfect. East walking to get coffee - lunch - dinner - gifts and a little dessert!! We will definitely be back!!!!

We stayed at the hamlets hotel to attend a wedding of a dear friend of ours. The stay at the hotel was less than satisfactory. The room was very small. There were no amenities in the room such as a bathrobe and slippers or comfortable pillows. The only thing they offered was cold cup of coffee in the lobby. Suffice it to say, the location was perfect but the room itself was overpriced.

Hotel front desk members were amazingly friendly and helpful with recommendations while in Newport and hospitality during our stay. Our room with a marina view was great. Things of note: a very comfortable bed, hot shower with good water pressure, plenty of usb outlets, blackout curtains, and plenty of space for both my husband and I to spread out our bags. Love the ease and convenience of valet parking with in and out privileges as parking is at a premium in Newport in July. The location, decor, and setting of the Hammetts Hotel makes for a delightful getaway. Looking forward to staying here again.

Kathy and I stayed at Hammetts for our first trip to Newport and have only great things to say. The service from valet to check in to maid service to check out was exemplary. Rooms are not huge but not cramped, more like a high end luxury cruise ship. The view from the window was wonderful. The location is perfect and is in walking distance of the entire town. We did a bus tour of the mansions including stops at the Marble House and Breakers which aren't to be missed. The restaurants in the area are wonderful too, but we love the cafe right behind the Audrain Car Museum at the top of the hill.

Highly recommend this wonderful and modern hotel.

Location was amazing. Walkable to everything we wanted to do and the outdoor patio was perfect for sunset cocktails. We loved our time in Newport.

The hotel is exceptional, from their central location to the beautiful and spacious rooms and to their amazing staff. Arlene at the front desk was very welcoming and knowledgeable
and definitely put a smile on our faces with her customer service.
We look forward to a return visit and we will stay her again.

Not worth the overpriced rate

Fantastic location: within walking distance to almost everything you might want to do.
Front desk staff is most helpful.
Loved looking out our window at the boats in the harbor.
Rooms are super comfortable/new, but storage space limited and no fridge to keep a drink cold. No restaurant so breakfast a little more of an effort. None are a deal breaker because of the ambiance/location and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

The hotel is a beautiful place to relax and enjoy Newport. The place is extremely well kept and sparkling clean. You can tell a lot of care goes into the hotel.

My stay at Hammetts Hotel was amazing! The hotel is really well located right in the midst of Bowens Wharf.
The staff (especially Arlene and John) are super helpful and friendly, and gave me some amazing sightseeing suggestions!
I would definitely recommend staying here!
