Cleaning crew helped themselves to my stuff

The hotel was lovely and it’s in a great area for cruises especially. The breakfast was a get it yourself buffet that was pretty good.

Cons:

Well, my husband, kids , parents and I stayed for one night before going on our cruise and a very weird thing happened. We left the morning of checkout for 40 minutes. (Returned before check out time) We came back before check out and items in our room were missing. We put our BIG luggage in the car but left a lot behind until we got back. My Apple Watch, LOTS of expensive sweets I brought for my parents from over seas and a big bag full of stuff. Bits were left like my curling iron, hair stuff and bits of makeup. I went to the desk and they had no idea where it could be because we had not even checked out… it was LONG before checkout that someone went into our room. Long story short I had to leave going on my cruise without my items that were about 950 dollars in worth. We got a call right before we checked into our cruise that they had the items and I was just so happy. They were not very apologetic after giving me back the items. Just handed it over… I had to rush to my cruise so I didn’t get to check the bag properly. I just looked for my watch and a quick glance. Sweets that I brought for my mother were missing and opened. Also a jar of my dad’s very expensive liquorice was missing. It was hard to get him those and they were very important. They said they thought the items were left and that the cleaning crew put it in lost and found but it didn’t take them long to go through it and start eating all the items. They didn’t wait to see if I came back for it all. Just helped themselves… It was all very crazy to me that they go in your room before you even checked out and just help themselves to the items left within 24 hours and don’t even wait to see if you will return for them… I won’t be staying again and I will not recommend them unfortunately.
