Pros:

L'emplacement de l'hôtel. Le lieu est magnifique. Les petits déjeuners sont très bons.

Cons:

Chambre à 4 lits, lits inconfortable. La vue est magnifique mais la chambre serait à refaire car c'est pas au niveau d'un 4 étoiles.
La 2ème chambre était à côté de la route et l'insonorisation était inexistante, là aussi pas au niveau d'un 4 étoiles car on cherche du repos et c'était tres bruyant.
Dommage car le lieu est magnifique!

Beautiful! Well worth every penny!!
Pros:

Lovely location! The glamping is stunning and really good food and overall great staff.
Really absolutely loved it!

Cons:

Language barrier made it a bit tougher to communicate with staff but still very friendly helpful staff.

Frustrating
Pros:

The food is extremely good. Fresh ingredients, cooked from scratch, quality. Highly recommended.
The central areas - reception, restaurant area, toilets, etc are very nicely done.
The staff are very nice
Beds were comfortable and the ’hotel’ rooms looked nice
Atmosphere around the pool / bar is very nice.

Cons:

Do not stay in the 4x single room (at the top of the main building). The smell of sulphur from the drain (think durians in Asia…) was overpowering to the extent that we began to become ill on the second night and had to move rooms - which they kindly allowed).

Lack of curtains - in the smelly room they were broken, and in the substitute room they were not on the top window meaning an early wake up

Service was mixed. Reception good. Watersports terrible - changing their hours with a shrug of shoulders. Bar very slow. Waiters helpful.

Lack of sun loungers. Simply not enough given the number of guests. Yes sometimes an issue in all hotels, but they have the space. An own goal.

Breakfast starts at 8am! Love the holiday atmosphere, but if you are doing anything (we did a trip to Kohunlich and Dzibanche) they leave early so you miss out (albeit they did swap it for a take away ham and cheese sandwich).

Pros:

Le personnel est très accueillant et l'endroit est impeccable. Avec le kayak, le paddle et le petit-déjeuner inclus, ce fut une expérience formidable. Je recommande vivement et j'y retournerai pour mes prochaines vacances.

Et n'oubliez pas de laisser un pourboire ; c'est un service auquel vous êtes habitué dans votre pays, alors faites-le ici aussi !

Mooie, schone en relaxte accomodatie

Locatie aan de lagune was prachtig

Cons:

Onze kamer zat vlakbij de keuken. De afzuiging maakte veel herrie.
Helaas waren de sup’s buiten gebruik.

La mise à disposition à la demande de kayak et Paddel a plu aux petits comme aux grands

Cons:

La chambre face a la lagune à une vue magnifique mais l'intérieur de la chambre est ce qu'il y a de plus basique et encore . Elle mérite un bon rafraîchissement , la literie est catastrophique c'est bien dommage ! C'est le seul bémol de cet hôtel , heureusement que nous passions notre temps à l'extérieur

Cons:

- La chambre attribuée n’est pas montrée en photo sur le site de Booking ; nous avons été déçus.
- le temps d’attente au petit déjeuner (un seul serveur en salle qui faisait de son mmieux). 40 minutes d’attentes pour des tartines.

We hebben uiteindelijk niet in het hotel verbleven, omdat de accommodatie bij aankomst niet aan onze verwachtingen volde
Pros:

Wij hadden dit hotel voor drie nachten geboekt en kwamen rechtstreeks uit Mérida, waar we in een 5-sterrenhotel hadden verbleven. Omdat dit hotel in Bacalar een van de duurdere accommodaties van onze reis was, hadden we hoge verwachtingen.

Helaas viel het bij aankomst erg tegen. Naar onze mening voldoet deze accommodatie absoluut niet aan wat je van een 5-sterrenhotel mag verwachten. Vooral gezien de prijs vonden wij de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding niet in balans. Daarom hebben wij besloten hier niet te blijven.

Gelukkig is dit heel netjes opgelost en hebben we ons geld teruggekregen.

Cons:

De gehele uitstraling van het hotel viel ons tegen en kwam niet overeen met wat wij van een 5-sterrenaccommodatie verwachtten. Vooral de 4-persoonskamer voldeed voor ons absoluut niet aan het niveau en de kwaliteit die je bij deze prijsklasse mag verwachten. Daardoor stond de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding voor ons niet in verhouding.

Bel emplacement pour un établissement agréable mais à renover

Super emplacement au bord de la lagune

Très joli lever de soleil
Personnel au bar et restaurant agréables
Prêt de paddles et kayak apprécié

Cons:

L’établissement dispose de chambres confortables (les bungalows dont certains sont tous neufs) et d’autres chambres à rénover intégralement (dans le bâtiment principal) où il ne faut vraiment pas être logé. Heureusement nos filles ont pu changer de chambres après plusieurs demandes !
Une bonne rénovation à plusieurs endroits serait nécessaire.
Le restaurant était correct pour déjeuner mais le petit déjeuner était moyen
Pas de service à la réception qui n’aide même pas pour les bagages

Cumple, lo mejor realmente es la laguna directo desde el hotel, pero en si las instalaciones no son nada espectacular

Pros:

Sehr schöne Lage an der Laguna Bacalar, mit Seezugang. Gemütliches kleineres Hotel, im Lodge Stil. Kayak-Verleih. Alles passt. Frühstück sehr gut und sehr schöne Frühstücksterasse. Sehr sauber. Für Kinder gibts auch ein nettes Pool, vor dem Restaurant. Alles super. Zum Ort ca 3 km.
