It was clean
We were moved
Nearby stores, Port and ocean view near in the park
Loved how large the rooms were. The property was clean and convenient to walk to a few shops and dinner. Shuttle service was also great and very easy! The breakfast was also pretty amazing for a buffet breakfast. I was impressed!
The process was simple quick and efficient
I wanted to stay longer
It was comfortable, clean and wide
Although it has breakfast, options are few
friendly staff, big rooms
room lighting
Very clean and staff was super nice!
The outdoor bar was not functioning. All the tv’s were broken. The bartender had to go inside to get our drinks made and brought to us.
We used Marriott points for a one night stay prior to our Port Canaveral cruise, and this hotel did not disappoint. Despite arriving ahead of check-in time, Darrian at the front desk, quickly checked us in. We have stayed at other Springhill properties and like them for their spaciousness and cleanliness. This property was modern, clean and spacious. Large bathroom, comfortable bed, and the usual room amenities like mini fridge and coffee maker. Pool and hot tub are also available on site but we did not partake in either.
We especially enjoyed the Splashdown on site bar/restaurant where Clarissa served us and made for an enjoyable evening. The morning breakfast had plenty of options to prepare us for the short drive to the cruise terminal.
We're crusing again later this year and have already booked a return stay.
Location close to port
High price of each night
Location, clean. Big rooms for our family of 5.
Went up to get juice and breakfast closed at 9 on the dot. Didn’t realize it while we were sitting there and half my family hadn’t gotten a drink yet.
PARENTS BEWARE! DANGEROUS! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! The manager, Heather Ventura, is unprofessional, unresponsive, and unapologetic that one of her guests was injured on the property due to the negligent maintenance of the lobby restroom.
I suffered a foot injury at this hotel hours before we departed on a week-long cruise. Despite informing the manager, she did NOTHING about it!
There were little kids everywhere, to include using this lobby bathroom. If this incident had happened to a child, it could have caused severe damage to their leg/foot.
I spent my vacation hobbling and limping around because this hotel refuses to do proper maintenance!
Details:
Washed my hands in the lobby restroom, and a large piece of plywood (see pics below) suddenly dislodged and fell on the top of my foot. The wood piece was on the floor, and I saw that it was not permanently secured in place; rather, it was temporarily held in place by a thin metal clip.
I could barely walk from the pain and had to immediately elevate and ice my foot. My husband informed the manager, Heather Ventura, to let her know of the incident and ensured that maintenance fixed the plywood board so nobody else got hurt.
***The attached pic of the sink was taken LESS than 15 mins after my husband spoke to the manager, Heather Ventura. Property maintenance just clipped the board back into place, despite knowing that it was not securely fastened in place and would fall on someone else, potentially a child.
Heather Ventura filled out an incident report (case #891102090) and said, "Someone from corporate would contact us to discuss having our room compensated."
Nobody from corporate ever contacted us. When we contacted corporate, they said it was "up to the property manager (Heather Ventura) to facilitate any refunds", and we would "have to speak with her."
From that point forward, Heather Ventura refused to get on the phone or discuss the matter. She had the front desk staff say she was busy, couldn't come to the phone, or that corporate was handling it.
We weren't seeking reimbursement for the week-long cruise that was significantly impacted as a result of my foot injury, or the doctor's visit or X-Ray I had to get for my foot.
We simply asked to have our room refunded due to their negligent maintenance.
SpringHill Suites has lost a customer based on their manager's incompetence and unwillingness to do the right thing!
BEWARE!! We have told (and will continue to tell) all of our friends not to stay at this hotel when they are in the area on business or vacation. Marriott, do better.
