Definitely booking again
Pros:

Property was very beautiful and the staff was super nice and welcoming. Room was decorated beautifully and everything was very clean. Absolutely loved the rec room and all of the other amenities the hotel has.

Cons:

Parking was a little tricky but only because. I am a girl and am no used "unusual" parking spots so I struggled just a little with the slanted uphilll parking but that is more of a personal skill issue lol

Ugh! Very disappointed. Rundown and cheaply decorated.
Pros:

Bed was big and very very comfortable! Pretty good breakfast. Big yummy waffle

Cons:

Right next to the road. Eggs for breakfast looked like spoonful, not enough to get full.
Run down property! Steps and decks need fixing and painting.
Super funky and weird. Decorating was not done very well.
On Booking.com the room looked nice, when we got there we were surprised it was the Dolly Parton room and full of extremely cheap decorations.
It’s a 420 friendly property that Booking did not mention either!
Some folks with strange taste might find the rooms enjoyable. It was too “out there” for us!

Pros:

Awesome place so full of fun and exciting people and decor! Definitely made memories and recommend highly. The people who run the place are so nice and welcoming and do a great job of keeping this one of a kind gem running smoothly!

Pros:

I stayed in the haunted mansion room. Super cool, love the theme. Bed was comfortable. There is a mini fridge as well. The waffle for breakfast is probably the best waffle I've ever had. There are 2 resident cats: Norma and Edwardo. Norma is super friendly and will just jump on your lap for affection. Edwardo was nervous. The rec room is open 24/7 and has a huge TV, arcade games, a bar, etc. You can smoke in the rec room, anywhere outside, and in the 420 room. There is a gazebo and it is really relaxing to hang out in. It has giant jenga too. The tub was cool, I took a few baths. The shower is a little iffy, you need to put the shower curtain all the way in the tub so you don't get water everywhere. Also the curtain kept sticking to me while I was showering but that's to be expected with this kind of shower/tub combo. Loved having streaming services in the room and without ads! I will be back!

Smoking hot and expensive in Hicksville

De locatie is geweldig voor natuurliefhebbers en om het leuke plaatsje Idyllwild te bezoeken.

Cons:

Eiegenlijk is de prijs die je betaald voor hetgeen wat Hicksville biedt veel te hoog!. Een slecht bed. Onconfortabel en onhygiënisch, benauwd met tapijt in de badkamer. Het ontbijt was heel erg karig voor die prijs. Wat scrambled eggs en twee zielige strookjes bacon. Met wat smeken kregen we er een wafel bij. Waar de gastheer niet blij mee was.Heel slecht!
Bij inchecken kregen we een doosje wiet aangeboden, heel lief, maar ongepast en waarschijnlijk enorm prijsverhogend. Stond ook niet in de beschrijving.
'S Nacht felle lampen op alleen ons huisje??!! Waarom??

Quirky, fun place in Idyllwild
Pros:

Good view, good bed, interesting decor, great breakfast (but no choices), fun game room. Staff were very kind and helpful

Cons:

Some shabby bits, rickety staircase to our room, noisy toilet, no coffee in room, dirty windows. But no deal breakers

Lesson learned
Pros:

Staff was great. Breakfast wonderful.
Not their fault we could not stay, they were very gracious.

Cons:

We are in our 70s and rather naively booked a porno themed room!
We never heard of John Waters! I am sure the decor was authentic, just not our thing. BOOKING.COM only showed benign photos with no explanation for the themed rooms.

BOOKING.COM claimed this property was located in Idyllwild, it is off the highway, almost to Pine Cove.

The round bed's low wooden frame made it almost impossible for me to get up from the bed without help. If you have any disabilities, this bed is not for you. Neither are the chairs.

Pros:

We stayed in the Dolly Parton room. Had so much fun in the arcade with movie night. Meeting new friends, It's a great place to go and relax. I'll definitely be back.
