The hotel staff are nice! However, you need good Spanish to stay here.
Highly recommend just day trips to Cozumel - the infrastructure (including this hotel) is just meant for cruise ship stopovers etc. and in general you’ll pay a lot more money for very bad accommodations and even locals told me it’s not very safe (solo female traveler).
I quickly had two bad run ins - nothing bad happened, but absolutely would’ve if I wasn’t being hyper aware of my surroundings. I tried to politely ask to shorten my stay to one night within hours of arriving but hotel wouldn’t refund.

Nothing
Hotel Dos Mundos is a great place to stay if you want to get away from the downtown tourist area. Just a 10-15 min walk up the main street, it's a quiet and privately run hotel that featured large rooms. Excellent air conditioning, comfortable beds, and very pleasant staff. Close to some really nice local restaurants and a grocery store just one building over. Free coffee at the front desk for guests, and
Wifi was spotty at times, but generally was good enough. Otherwise, I had no issues at all.

Everything was perfect. There was nothing we didn't like.
The staff was very friendly and helpful and gave us good recommendations, especially the Casa Mission round the corner that became our local restaurant. The room was clean and spacious and the bed comfortable. The hotel was a 15 minute-walk to the town centre and the ferry.

Really nice hotel for the price. Within walking distance of the busy centre, rooms are spacious with an down/upstairs and beds are very comfortable. The hotel has a lot of potential and needs a bit of an upgrade, but rooms are very clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. 24-hour manned reception desk.
Nothing! But improvements could be electric kettle and fridge. Hotel offers free coffee in the mornings and use of fridge in reception but otherwise, there’s an OXXO approx. 2 minutes walk from there.

Location is far from everything
It was very small so you aren’t really with lots of people.
I was there 5 days on 2nd day I had to ask for towels , when I was given towels one had blood stains the other was just dingy. It took 3 days to asked if I wanted someone to clean my room. We decided to leave on the 4 day.
We traveled to Cozumel because we had a family member in the hospital there. This hotel was conveniently located close to the hospital. We were able to walk back and forth as needed. The staff at the hotel were all very friendly and helpful. There was someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, and everyone was great. They provided us with a WhatsApp link to communicate with them whenever, even if we were off site. One of the staff members even helped us order a pizza to be delivered from a neighborhood pizza place. We felt very fortunate to have found this hotel for our trip.
The only thing I can say is that we would have liked to have had a refrigerator in the room. We made it work though. no real complaints.
