Check in was quick, staff was friendly. Gave me my choice of upstairs or down.
The only thing they should add are ironing boards. I was able to borrow an iron from the front desk but it wasn't easy to iron suits and dresses (for a funeral) on a desk with a towel over it
Close to my destination
My stay at this Travelodge had a few positives, but overall fell short of expectations.
During check-in, there were some communication challenges. The front desk associate had a strong accent, and I had difficulty understanding him at times. When I politely asked if he could repeat himself, the interaction felt somewhat tense, which made the process a bit uncomfortable as I was simply trying to confirm our reservation. I understand that miscommunication can happen, but a bit more patience would have made a difference.
The room itself was fairly small and appeared to need more thorough cleaning. The floors did not seem freshly mopped, there were a few dead bugs near the air conditioning unit, and the sheets had visible stains. The beds were also quite firm, which may come down to personal preference. Bedding was minimal, two sheets and a light fleece throw, so guests who prefer a proper comforter or heavier blanket may want to plan accordingly.
Additionally, one of the coffee packets at the station appeared to have mold, which was concerning.
On a positive note, the hotel's location was very convenient for our needs. There was also a friendly black cat on the property, which was a small but memorable highlight. Overall, while some of these issues may have been due to miscommunication or oversight, improvements in cleanliness, communication, and attention to detail would greatly enhance the guest experience.
I consider the Travelodge Inn & Suites by Wyndham West Covina as the middle of everywhere. Downtown LA to visit Little Tokyo, Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Garden, The Shops at Santa Anita next to the arboretum, The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens, and other interesting sites to see.
Everything was great I felt safe and relaxed.

It was expected to have some packets of sugar for preparing coffee and a little couch in the room.
