The Oliver Hotel

Front desk is very helpful! This was our second visit and hoping to plan the next one soon! The attention to detail is incredible. We also love the restaurant, I had the double bone in pork chop and it was delicious!

The Oliver Hotel is a boutique hotel on the corner of Market Square. It has the added benefit of having one of the best restaurants in Knoxville (Oliver Royale) and one of coziest places to have a drink (Kern Library) in the same building. We go there several times each year. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

From our first step into the lobby and being greeted by Chris, our stay was lovely. The room was nicely appointed (beautiful wood tables throughout). Candy selections in the hallway were unexpected and tasty. Conveniently located to dining options and shopping. A stay that added nicely to our vacation experience and a return trip is anticipated.

All of the staff were amazing--friendly and professional. Our room was very spacious, charming and clean. This was our first stay at The Oliver Hotel, but it definitely will not be our last. The overall experience was memorable and we look forward to returning.

The Oliver is perfectly located in downtown Knoxville and maintains the old world charm. The service and friendliness from the staff is welcoming and delightful. And the speakeasy - it’s a gem! The room was clean and accommodating. The Oliver is a boutique hotel - not the typical MARIOTT or Hilton chains. I would stay there again.

The hotel falls way short of expectations at this price level. Our room had filthy carpet which makes one wonder about the overall level of cleanliness.

Wonderful, historic building and charming hotel! The staff were lovely, the ambiance was relaxing and fun. The location is a 10/10! We got drinks from the speakeasy and brunch at the restaurant. The room was cozy wtih good amenities. However, I do think they could splurge for king pillows on the king beds.

Though our stay was brief, our experience was great! The check in process was smooth and our request to upgrade to a king room was honored at no additional charge. The suite we were in was very comfortable, clean and cozy. The check out process was also smooth.

Great location on Market Sq. Nice, well appointed rooms with in room coffee service. Very friendly staff that go above and beyond to ensure guests are happy. Affordable rates. Restaurant has great food and drinks. Don’t miss the speakeasy (though can be a bit loud).

Hotel is nice but don't expect to gain access to the Hotel's restaurants unless you have a reservation.... or anywhere else on the "square".

The Oliver Hotel offers all the old world charm with modern amenities. The location is fantastic on Market Square and easy access to campus. Our favorite spot every time we visit.

Absolutely wonderful hotel! So charming - right in the heart of downtown Knoxville! Upon check-in, you are offered champagne or a beer! Our room was big and overlooked the Market area (shops and restaurants). They have a really cool speakeasy - had a drink there before dinner. Walked around the corner to Stock and Barrel for dinner - great burger and amazing fries! Big TV’s for watching sports. Connected to the Oliver is a Tupelo Honey restaurant and the hotel’s nice restaurant called Oliver Royale - I intend to try that if we get back to Knoxville. I will for sure stay here again unless it’s a game day weekend - a little pricey then. You can’t beat the location for exploring downtown.

If you are tempted to default to a chain hotel for your visit to Knoxville…don’t! The Oliver is a delightful alternative. The rooms are large, decorated with real style and real comfort. Great location right on the market square, interesting local menu in the restaurant and an outstanding and atmospheric speakeasy bar. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.

Great stay at The Oliver! The room was very nice and the proximity to everything was so convenient. The staff was more than welcoming. We typically stay in the Hilton family of hotels but in Knoxville it will only be The Oliver moving forward.

We stayed one night at this beautiful hotel on Market Square. The decor is a bit dated but the rooms large and very well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the climate control was intuitive/easy to use.

this property was all it was billed to be and more. very roomy, so nicely appointed. staff was friendly and it was very charming, comfortable and service was amazing.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay. We are restaurant owners and live close to Knoxville. We tend to do a lot of staycations. We will definitely be back!
