Convenient location but not worth the money we paid.
Pros:

The hotel area was very central and we could access the public transport very easily.

Cons:

The rooms were very small and no storage space to keep clothes. We stayed in lots of hotels in Japan but this one was the smallest with no storage space.

Perfect location with comfortable rooms
Pros:

Loved this hotel. The location was perfect. We stayed at a super fancy 5 star hotel a few years ago and felt this location was better. Easy to walk to shopping, shrines, local neighborhoods. The property feels like a luxury hotel when you walk in. I am picky about hotels and this was great. We got two rooms for 4 people. Pillows and bedding were so comfortable!

Perfect stay in central Kyoto
Pros:

Loved the location and that the decor and vibes were very appropriate to the Kyoto setting. Service was efficient with everything we asked. Breakfast was plentiful and high quality. Onsen was nice. I was there for 30 minutes and saw no one else. Highly recommend.

Cons:

Beds a little hard but ok. They advertised a laundry serve that didn't really exist.
