Zino's is a beautiful, peaceful property with fantastic views over the surrounding area. All the staff are excellent, they are friendly, helpful and efficient. The breakfast was a selection of fresh breads, fruits, meats and cheese with a hot food option, it is served on the terrace and is a wonderful start to the day. We had diner on one of the evenings and it was excellent and good value. Staying at Zinos is amazing if you want a relaxing break.
There was nothing wrong with the hotel at all, but we were disappointed with the location for restaurant options and should have researched it better. The hotel is not in the main part of Ponte de Sol and that can only be accessed by car, we thought we could walk or get a taxi or even a bus to eat at the great restaurants they have but unfortunately you can not. There are three restaurants a short walk from the hotel but I would not recommend eating in them (worst meals I have ever eaten), the ones in the main part of Ponte de Sol were excellent.
If you have a car the hotel is in a good location to get to the various sights around the island.

Everything about this hotel was perfect! It's beautifully designed and has stunning views from the terrace. It's so quiet and peaceful - usually there were only a few couples there and we had the pool pretty much to ourselves. Breakfast was lovely and dinner at the restaurant was fantastic - would highly recommend eating there. The road up is a bit narrow as others have mentioned, but we found it manageable. There's plenty of parking. All the staff were really friendly and helpful. It's about a five minute drive to Ponto do Sol (very hilly though so wouldn't be able to walk it). There are some cafeterias about a five minute walk away but we didn't bother with them as the hotel food was much nicer
My only suggestion for improvement would be adding a blind/ curtain to the window
Property was beautiful and well kept. The food was some of the best we had on the island. The views on the terrace are unforgettable!

This place is absolutely wonderful. A fabulous location overlooking the sea.
We stayed in an attic room, while a little small, the ceiling height soars into the eves of the roof. Randomly, our bathroom probably had the best view of any hotel bathroom.
We opted to have dinner at the property (limited dining options in the area on foot), which was a lovely surprise - reasonably priced and nice options.
The breakfast was the best of the hotels we stayed in with seating on the terrace overlooking the sea.
All in all - a fabulous place to base yourself while in Madeira.
Driving up the winding roads can be a challenge but this is normal for Madeira.
Beautiful boutique hotel. Very clean. Great, professional staff. Easy check-in and check-out. Ample parking. Delicious breakfast, lunch, and dinner options. Amazing, unbeatable view. We felt so comfortable and happy to stay here. It was also just a short drive to restaurants and the beach.

Beautiful hotel - loved the room and the view from the window, as well as the patio view. The staff has been very helpful and trying to ensure we had a nice experience. Enjoyed every minute of it!
