Very friendly, welcoming and comfortable
Pros:

Breakfast was very good. The stroganoff at dinner was the best I have ever had - all fillet steak.

Lovely hotel
Pros:

Evening meal very tasty & well cooked .
Breakfast was also good.
Our room was an annex room , ideal for our dogs who like early morning walks.
Bed was comfy , plenty of tea & coffee & yummy biscuits 😋

Great Staff & Great Food
Pros:

Great staff. Friendly and helpfull. Fantastic food in restaurant. Great breakfast. Very convenient location for travelling either north or south.

Cons:

Room was very nicely presented but had some obvious maintenance issues (i.e. very loose toilet seat.)

Clean spacious well located pleasant hotel
Pros:

Good location, easy to find, lovely clean spacious rooms, wifi strength good. Staff very good excellent with invoicing and any requirements needed.

Cons:

Food was fresh however the menu felt dated and very limited in size.

Will stay again - loved it
Pros:

Lovely spacious room with comfortable seating. Direct access outside which was great for the dogs. Nice quiet location. Great for an overnight stop. Didn't get a chance to try the food but will definitely stay next time and have a meal. Room had everything we needed

Cons:

Room smelt a bit musty and maybe had been closed off for a bit. It was warm enough to have the windows open but would have struggled in the winter - maybe need to air rooms if been closed for a bit

Lovely stay again but we think perhaps the rooms could be updated a little, our room had a few issues with things missing I.e. no towel rail , damp on the walls , but still would return xx

Great location, friendly and helpful staff.
Pros:

The location was so very convenient for a midpoint on our drive from S. wales to Ullapool, Scotland. It is right near the M, but feels like an old country retreat.

Cons:

Quiet and peaceful.

Ok stay
Pros:

The place was clean and had a nice bathroom

Cons:

I had an issue in my bathroom and the staff had to get another customer to deal with it.. The cleaner tried to get into my room at 8:30 without checking i was still in the room. 2 wines and a beef strogonoff £48 very expensive

Fantastic location & very comfortable
Pros:

Great location. Lovely old building, with amazing architectural detail. Loved Livingston & Stanley at the front stairs. Staff were wonderful & very helpful, especially at breakfast- despite my not eating all my serving of haggis lol
