Don't know that we would stay at this AmericInn again.
Pros:

The room was a nice size and the bed was comfortable, plenty of hot water. The Breakfast was good.

Cons:

The shower curtain was stinky and dirty, needed to be replaced. There was still trash in the trash can from the prior occupants.

It was a decent place to stay
Pros:

Beds were comfortable and the room was decent size

Cons:

Our room had a musty smell and there was a lot of moisture in the air. The floor had a damp feeling to it

Dirty and disgusting
Pros:

The hotel is in the middle of no where. The room was disgusting. The bedding was stained with bodily fluids. The pillowcase was brown. There was a roach crawling in the bathroom.

Decent lodging for a visit to Viroqua
Pros:

Location was convenient. Good space in the room. Staff was nice. Price was reasonable. Place was quiet even though the hotel was pretty full.

Cons:

Breakfast was ok. Pillows on bed weren't very comfortable.
Didn't liked that people smoked right outside the entrance.

Fire Trap Potential
Pros:

We checked in on a Sunday night. The light around our mirror was not working. We reported it as we left that same afternoon. Nothing was fixed on Monday. We reported it again on Tuesday, along with the fact that the other light in the bath area was flickering on and off and many of the outlets, and hair dryer, on that same wall were not functioning. A real concern of a short or major wiring issue. We reported to a night clerk on Wednesday that it was still a problem. Her reply, “It is the manager’s prerogative as to whether she fixes it or not.” We reported it to the manager directly on Friday, and she said she would take the room out of service once we checked out. When we checked out, all of the problems remained. We were so concerned about a fire that we left our IDs in the car.
We also had a “Cheerio Test”. When we arrived there were three Cheerios on the carpeted floor on the second level. We waited each day to see if housekeeping or any employee might pick them up. 6 days later those same Cheerios were still in their place on the filthy, filthy floor.

Nice place to stay for a night. Have a breakfast plan B.
Pros:

It was fine. Nice place to stay.

Cons:

By the time we got to breakfast (9:30 - ending at 10 I was told) several hot items had run out or were just some version of carbs. So get there early or don’t bother.

A good place to stay in Viroqua for one night
Pros:

An "ordinary" hotel--nothing fancy. Staff is friendly. My only complaint is the heating unit. It goes off and on all night unless, of course, you turn it off and it gets cold.
