Great for rail enthusiasts
Pros:

This is a must stay for any rail enthusiast. Loved the decor. The owner was extremely accommodating after we messed up our booking. Room was comfortable and clean. South Brent is a lovely little Devon village, very convenient for heading to Plymouth. Plenty of free parking near to the hotel.

Cons:

the weather was exceptionally hot and the room was uncomfortably warm overnight. But there was a good shower and a fridge with cold drinking water.

Excellent place to stay located between South Devon and Dartmoor
Pros:

We needed a place to stay to break our journey to Cornwall. This was a great location and only a few minutes turn off from the A38 main road. Very comfortable room and excellent value. Staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a great dinner in the restaurant and would recommend that as well. It's a pretty little town with useful shops. The River Avon is beautiful and the walk up to the waterfall is lovely.
