Very uncomfortable, loud and not clean!
Pros:

The most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in! So hard it felt like sleeping on the floor. I like a firm mattress but this was like a board.

Also the plumbing was so loud, I could hear so loudly every time the people in the rooms next to me (or above me maybe?) were showering or flushing the toilet. This woke me up so many times through the night.

I stayed 3 nights and never once had any housekeeping. Very strange. I’m used to hotels that say to leave towels on the floor if you want them changed, or to leave a card on the bed or you don’t need the sheets changed. But no housekeeping at all for a 3 night stay?! Very bizarre. I was there for business and working 14 hour days so was always too tired to say anything to staff when coming back late in the evening.

Pros:

Easy check in, room was ok but the ceiling was not plastered and there was visible pipes, I’m not sure if it was meant to be like this. The room was clean enough but very minimal

Fantastic Hotel
Pros:

This is a gem of a hotel. Clean quirky rooms with a very comfortable bed. Great bar downstairs with very friendly staff. Located right in the action a few steps from Spinningfields. Will be coming back.

Nice decor in the room and reception, and it was clean. Having the tea making facilities outside the room is not ideal and the toilet in our room didn't flush properly. The location of the hotel is really good though.

Pros:

I didnt expect much from yotel but was pleasently suprised. Its a concerted industrial building and is no frills, but the bed was comfortable, plenty of electrical plugs and breakfast was decent. Its a great value for the price.

Rooms are quite small / oppressive. Breakfast was good. Dinner menu quite lomited so ate out (lots of options). Not a bad hotel, but give the amount of other options in the area, not sure i would go back again

Yotel is a beautiful quirky hotel, all staff are very helpful especially josie. There was a problem with our original room but she found us the next best one and compensated us with drinks

Pros:

Good location and trendy vibe. Bed comfortable but we were allocated an Accessible room (not requested) and the shower was difficult to use for someone standing. Room was also adjoining and our neighbours returned at 3:30am and put the telly on 🙄. Breakfast not up to 4 star standard by any imagination but we would stay again for the location and great staff.

Great stay
Pros:

I was inly staying one night as i was attending a concert. The staff were really nice, the hotel was clean. The room was a little on the smaller side but it didnt really bother me as i knoy needed a place to sleep.
Really liked the lobby/ bar decor. The location is very central, was about 20mins walk from the train station.
