typical small room for a japanese standard. the room is equipped with everything. small toilet but didnt bother me that much. has a tv and also u can choose type of pillow u like on the groundfloor. price is ok. staff is spot on friendly and service impeccable. misplaced my neckpillow in the room. they went out of the way to replace it. thank you. oh breakfast was good..mix of western and japanese of course.
I've stayed at a number of Super Hotels during my business trips to Japan, so I knew what I was getting into when I stayed at this one. The price of this one seemed to be higher than many, which surprised me, but it could just be because I booked it at the last minute. I normally stay with some people I know when I'm in the Kansai area, but there was a typhoon passing through Osaka the day I arrived, so I didn't want to have to deal with luggage and train stoppages during the wind and pouring rain.
Anyway, back to this hotel. The front area is nice and clean, with seating where you can meet up with people (which is a rarity -- I don't remember any other Super Hotels I've stayed in having this). The room was nice and clean, and had what I needed for a comfortable stay for 1 night. The coin laundry was a must, as I had soaked clothes after my business meetings.
While the hotel itself is good, there isn't that much around it. You pretty much have to go back to Kadoma-shi station to get much of anything. There's a convenience store (Daily Yamazaki, if I remember correctly) across the street, but you have to go across an overpass, so I'd hardly call that convenient. There are a number of restaurants near the station, so I'd recommend going that route.
All in all, I was grateful that this hotel exists in this location, because it saved me a lot of trouble and was a nice roof over my head when the weather wasn't very friendly.
I stayed at Super hotel for 2 weeks. The staff knew limited english (aside from 1 young lady who spent time in the US), but they were very patient and tried their best to accommodate me. Super hotel has a cute indoor hot spring, breakfast, and WIFI! (dining area/lobby/may reach your room). During the day time, the hotel kinda "closes" for cleaning. I chose the eco-friendly option of no cleaning (you get a free water bottle), so I was able to sneak into my room =p. The hotel closes its doors during the late night, but you can always get in using you room code (which I found out the hard way.. banging on the door). I prefer the 1 bedroom over the bunkbeds, because of how much more walking room you have, but I am not too picky (also I am small so I don't need too much room). It is less than a 5 minute walk to kodamashi station, which I took to Kyoto and downtown Osaka. There are also restaurants and izakaya around the neighborhood. I recommend Sabogi, the Okinawan restaurant next door. I loved my stay and will be back every time I'm in Osaka.
