Pool area very pleasant, this time of year it would be nice if they would heat the outdoor pool
We enjoyed our stay at the hotel. In particular we liked the setting and the pool. Staff were generally very helpful. We had a couple of issues but the staff dealt with them well and they were resolved. There were a few other small things that could be improved:
- the food was a bit underwhelming, and not to 5* standard. There were no allergen labels at breakfast. There are also problems with insects and i think some covers for the food at breakfast would be helpful (i have seen these sort of metal netting protectors in other hotels).
- there are not enough sun loungers, both days we were there people rushed to reserve them and there didnt seem to be any extras.
- the umbrellas by the pool are not safe - twice the umbrellas flew from their base and hit people. Once the lady who was hit was visibly shaken. These should be checked for safety.
All in all we had a nice time and would return if the food improves.
This is the perfect hotel for those seeking a quiet and peaceful retreat.
Our family experienced a little piece of heaven deep in the mountains.
The outdoor pool, indoor pool, and sauna were so quiet and serene, it felt like they were reserved just for us.
The green nature, the sound of birds, and the gentle breeze still seem to echo in my ears.
It’s a place that will remain a happy memory for a long time.
After the challenging drive up the mountain to get to the property, you are rewarded with an astonishing, valley location with impressive peaks either side. The view over the property as you descend is amazing.
The friendly staff greet you on arrival and give you a tour of the grounds and facilities finally showing you to your room. Unfortunately, for us, this was a rather disappointing let down. While spacious with a nice bathroom, ours had been out of use for a while and the AC was not working (the maintenance team had finished for the day). Plus, the room was full of bugs and flying insects.
The reception team came very quickly and said they would bring cooling fans and bug spray while we went for dinner. This they did, but it meant no bare-feet as there were now dead bugs all over the floor.
The bug problem continued at (outdoor) dinner. The excellent staff were doing their best, but we had to cut our meal short as we were getting covered in tiny black insects. The food was ok but the only starter options were beef or tuna carpaccio. I had the beef which was good. Breakfast was disappointing.
We were booked for 2 nights and they did fix the AC on the second day, but by this time we'd had enough and left for Palma a day early.
This place should be a 5-star experience and the pool area and general location are amazing, but they need to get the fundamentals in order. I also feel they should have credited the second night due to the poor first-night experience.
A wonderful hotel with friendly staff & lovely clean rooms. The location was remote, but that added to the relaxing feel. Free yoga every morning which was lovely & the food absolutely exceeded expectations. We will return!
My stay at Finca Ratxo was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I arrived, I was captivated by the serene beauty of its location tucked away in the mountains, surrounded by lush greenery and the surreal sounds of peacocks in the mountains
With only 25 rooms, the hotel offers an intimate and exclusive atmosphere that’s hard to come by. Despite its boutique size, the attention to detail in both service and design is world class. The staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive, making every moment feel personalised and special.
The food deserves a review of its own, fresh, flavourful, and elegantly presented. Every meal felt like a celebration of local ingredients and Mediterranean flair.
Whether it was breakfast on the terrace or dinner, the dining experience was consistently excellent.
Finca Ratxo isn't just a hotel it’s a destination in itself. A perfect blend of rustic charm and luxury, set in a uniquely beautiful natural setting. I left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming of my return.
We went half board and whilst it wasn't cheap, did provide a lot of value. With the hotel being very rural all meals needed to be at the hotel and as a consequence of half board we spent very little during our stay.
Beautiful place for a tranquil stay. Amazing mountain views and abundant hiking. Staff super friendly and meals excellent.
A truly wonderful experience! From the staff to the amenities, everything is well thought of and taken care of. Thank you for a great stay!
Amazing experience beautiful hotel and great staff.
Secluded, but lovely property!
Leider war das Hotel geschlossen und wir mussten uns ein neues Hotel suchen. Sehr ärgerlich. Hoffe auf eine Entschädigung oder Wiedergutmachung
My stay was wonderful! This hotel is in a remote setting, 世外桃源,Xanadu! The staffs are very friendly and accommodating! I would definitely come again and tell my friends as well.
World class resort - beautiful and relaxing - quiet and nice
This is the most perfect experience that a couple could wish for on their holiday to Majorca. The owner Juan Carlos made us feel extremely welcome and had arranged a special show for the festival of San Lorenzo. From the moment you arrive in the luxury resort your every need is cater for by the wonderful staff special mention to Bernard and Felix for dealing every little detail of your stay. The ladies who where catering for us in the restaurant and bars on site where of the highest caliber mentions to Andrea who found my mobile phone using her special powers and Shiaha for her beautiful smile and Carine who was interested in everything to make your stay exclusive. I am highly recommending a stay at TJs for your break from a max mad world. I can’t wait until I can return to this paradise in stone and water with as much sunshine as you can get with no screaming kids ps only joking
I’ve never been to Mallorca, Spain before and I selected 2 places on the island. Our first stop was LJs Ratxo luxury resort. We booked the junior suite with private yard and pool for my wife’s 50th birthday. It is a hidden oasis of peace and we absolutely loved it and will come back….all the way from Vancouver Canada. A true gem of relaxation and exceptional service. I’ve never been to anything like this. Highly recommend to detach, relax and soak in beauty and tranquility.
Wonderful - we will come back.
Hard to get to but worth it!
Overall, it was a great stay. The only issue was frequent miscommunication with staff, particularly during various meals: every single time we got something different compared to what we ordered. Fortunately, all dishes were tasty and we have no allergies, so it didn't matter much to us in the end. Still, this is something that needs improving.
Hint: take a walk to the nearby Finca de Galatzó. The walk and the little museum at the end are quite nice.
A truly amazing place!!
A lovely retreat. Very isolated. Excellent staff.
This is a truly special & unique place to stay. Nestled at the bottom of a mountain valley in the heart of a nature park, the hotel is peaceful, secluded & beautifully & sustainably designed. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff & the hotel offers complimentary spa access & yoga sessions. Spa treatments are extra but well worth it, all use natural, eco products. The food is absolutely delicious, & the complimentary breakfast is particularly good, & available all day, every day, whenever you want it! A couple of things worth noting: the hotel is down a steep, windy, bumpy, and at times narrow road, about two miles long. We got up/down it fine in our little rented Fiat 500, but it does mean that nipping out for different eating/drinking/shopping options is a little more laborious and other than the hotel itself, there are no other food/drink/amenity options near the hotel. While the food was delicious & the menu varied, options were same for both lunch & dinner & didn’t change in the four days we were there. Also worth noting was that it felt like we were there a little early in the season (first week of May) and so some areas of the hotel were a little quiet/not in full use yet, like the outdoor bar/restaurant. I think coming a little later in May there would be a little more to do & a bit more atmosphere, too. Truly though this is a wonderful place to stay, especially if you enjoy being in nature & value sustainability – not a single piece of single-use plastic in sight!
