Pros:

This hotel was amazing! Rooms were very comfortable. The outside spa facility was very large and relaxing. Breakfast every morning had a huge selection and we ate out on the terrace. Very near Negombo thermal spa. Very pleasant staff.

Breakfast was amazing, hotel is gorgeous, beach staff is surly and rude, beds could be more comfortable.

So the staff at the front desk were very helpful and kind and facilities were gorgeous. The breakfast was incredible and we had the best day out on one of their boats exploring the island. Would definitely recommend going out on a boat excursion. The town was also adorable. Rooms were always left spotless!

Cons:

Beds were uncomfortable and sheets were scratchy. The beach staff (one gray-haired man in particular) were very rude and unfriendly, especially towards my children. One day he told them they couldn’t play on the (otherwise empty beach) and the next day he told them in a very unkind way that they could only play on the beach.

חדר לשנים היה קצת קטן, הגענו למסכנה שיותר טוב להזמין 2 חדרים לאחד.גם בחדר שלנו כניסה למקפסת הייתה בלתי אפשרית לאימא שלי אישה מבוגרת, כשביקשנו להחליף חדר בשביל שגם אימא תטכל להנות ממרפסת אמרו לנו שיכולים להחליף רק לחדר בלי מרפסת בכלל. לא הבנתי איך זה עונה לבקשתנו.

Le cadre. L'emplacement, le spa et le personnel du spa, les piscines, la literie.

Le manque d'explications à l'arrivée, le fait d'être reléguée en bout de salle pour la demie pension alors que j'étais là pour 10 jours et que des gens restant bien moins longtemps avaient droit à de meilleures tables.
Le manque de chaleur de la part du personnel en général, pas très accueillant ni très souriant dans l'ensemble. On a parfois l'impression de déranger et d'être pris de haut.
Piscine intérieure pas toujours propre. Nourriture inégale.

La clientela un po' datata, ma non sarebbe stato assolutamente un problema, solo che siamo stati aggrediti verbalmente con turpiloqui da un anziano avventore della piscina senza alcun motivo. Dapprima tentava un "approccio" poco elegante, con apprezzamenti eccessivi, più faceva riferimenti politici, e nonostante avessimo assecondato le stranezze, ci ha aggredito con parolacce ad alta voce. Poi, forse dimenticava tutto e ci salutava allegramente da lontano, però è stato un po' imbarazzante.

Das Hotel ist wirklich wunderschön – die Lage direkt am Meer ist toll, aber ehrlich gesagt braucht man das Meer dort gar nicht unbedingt, weil die Pools einfach fantastisch sind. Besonders die Thermalquellen und der Meerwasserpool haben uns begeistert. Alles ist so komfortabel, schön und gemütlich gestaltet, dass man eigentlich keine externen Thermalanlagen mehr besuchen möchte. Nach diesem Hotel wirken andere Thermalbäder eher blass.

Das Frühstück war gut und reichhaltig. Für einen nordeuropäischen Geschmack gab es allerdings etwas zu viele süße Speisen. Ein bisschen mehr Gemüse, Eierspeisen oder vielleicht Pfannkuchen wären perfekt gewesen.

Das Zimmer war groß, mit hohen Decken, sehr gemütlich und sauber, wenn auch vielleicht schon leicht in die Jahre gekommen. Zum Beispiel sprang einmal der Fenstergriff heraus. Die Betten waren dafür ausgesprochen bequem.

Der einzige Punkt, der mir wirklich nicht gefallen hat: Jeden Abend kamen Mitarbeiter ziemlich aufdringlich in die Zimmer, um frische Badetücher zu bringen. Wenn man nicht sofort öffnete, kamen sie mit ihrem eigenen Schlüssel herein. Das fühlte sich leider wie ein Eingriff in die Privatsphäre an.
Auch zumindest eine gratis Wasserflasche wäre für ein 4 Sterne Hotel angemessen.

Abgesehen davon war alles ausgezeichnet. Vielen Dank für den wunderbaren Aufenthalt!
