As an international traveller, i have been to hundreds of hotels in past 20 years, i have never had such a bad experience. The receptionust was rude to say the least, first she said she couldnt see my reservation, provided me with an email to email her the reservation witch i did. Afyer waiting for almost 45 minutes she insisted she can't aknowledge my reservation and my form of payment because she is unable to see it in her system. That it is impossible to ok online reservation the only one that can ok it has gone home it was 4pm that i shcancel it online and find a different hotel to go to. I tgat point i told her I haven been travelling for 10 hrs i was exausted. I showed her on my phone how i made the reservation, i went through the entire process. She still insisted she cant see that i paid. Afte a while, she said fine and gave a page of more than 20 question to answer before she would consider putting me in a room. Some of the questions were what is your proffession, what are you in town for, so many other question i couldnt remember them all now, obviously the normal biometric questions like name, race, sex, date and place of birth etc...i immediatleky told her, that was too invasive, and i have never in all the hotels troughout the world i have lived in, asked to fill out such details just to have a room. She then decided to give me room. Well the room was nasty, the rug on the floor smell musty and cigarette. I asked for a different room she they were sold out.
The garden and the pool were relaxing
Good experience
Loved the gardens, the trees & flowers, birds and animals. Staff was friendly. A nice natural sanctuary, surprising to find in Lubumbashi. A bit out of the way. Mostly quietly except Sunday afternoon and late into the night there was loud music from nearby events or nightclubs. But will stay there again.
