Absolutely serene with breathtaking views.
Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of local fruits and vegetables to enjoy.
The staff are very friendly and accommodating.
Rooms are cleaned twice daily; however, this is when money went missing from our bedside during the evening service. Unfortunately, this can happen if valuables are left out. I believe having notice boards reminding guests to be vigilant would be helpful.

Overall property and staff was amazing

The whole staff at Amani strive to make your time there perfect! The food is delicious, and there are thoughtful small touches throughout the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel- and would eagerly come back again!

This was unbelievable! The end of the rain season and the hotel had just finished renovations so only six guests in total. The property is in superb condition and the service was always impeccable. I never tried to stay in a place that seemed to get cleaned every time we left the room.
The location is also perfect if you want peace and privacy. Along the beach it's a bit of a walk towards Paje but that means the solicitors don't drift that far and basically had a mile of white sand all to ourselves.
The food was great too but if I was to suggest any improvements it would just to offer more variety through the week, though I understand that the limited number of rooms also means a limit to how much variety is possible.

Sehr schönes, kleines, gepflegtes Boutique Hotel mit lediglich 14 Doppelzimmer. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber und wird regelmäßig gepflegt. Der Privatstrand ist geräumig, es gibt immer genug freie Liegen inkl. Sonnenschirm. Der Pool ist klein aber fein. Das Personal überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel liegt sehr ruhig und etwas abseits; die Ruhe wird ein wenig gestört von Bauarbeiten nebenan. Der Strand an sich ist traumhaft; puderweicher weißer Sand, ausgiebige Standspaziergänge bieten sich an. Das Wasser hingegen ist leider kaum zu gebrauchen, da ziemlich voll mit Meeralgen. Hier muss man einige Meter weiter Richtung Paje laufen, wo das Wasser wesentlich schöner ist. Leider keine Gastronomie in direkter Nähe, viel mehr müssen etwa 15-20 Minuten Fußweg Richtung Paje absolviert werden, wo die Auswahl sehr gut ist. Das Essen im Hotel ist solide. Das Frühstück glänzt beispielsweise mit exzellenten frischen Säften und Obst, gleichwohl ist die Auswahl etwas überschaubar. Frisch zubereiteten Kaffee aus einer Baristamaschine gibt es leider nicht, was man in dieser Preiskategorie durchaus erwarten könnte. Das Abendessen gibt es a la carte, 1-2x in der Woche gibt es Buffet. Bei längerem Aufenthalt als einer Woche wiederholt es sich leider. Die Qualität ist ok mit Luft nach oben, generell darf man auf der Insel nicht die ganz große Küche erwarten.
Insgesamt ein sehr schöner, entspannender Aufenthalt.

We had an amazing stay at the Amani! The hotel is a perfect place for an adults-only, quiet, relaxing stay. The location was a bit outside of Paje (20 minute walk along the beach), and there were limited options for dining because of the location, but dinner is included so that meant we had a quiet, delicious dinner every night. The view of the pool, grounds, and beautiful beach were beautiful. There were lounges chairs on the beach and pool and enough for every guest - a first for us! The only downside was the large construction project next door. It didn't really affect us, but we talked to several guests who were placed in rooms with a view of the construction and a jack hammer pounding all day long. They were equally frustrated that they had not been informed in advance. Also, the hotel lists itself as a 5-star hotel. It is not, though it is certainly very nice.

What really sets the Amani apart is the incredible staff. We felt pampered as if we were in a typical 5-star hotel. In particular, Hamad helped us unwind and relax from the moment we arrived until we left; Alfred was amazing with his attentiveness and constant joy; Robert never stopped anticipating what we might want or need next.

We highly recommend this hotel, though you'd probably want to check in advance to make sure you have a room that is not facing the project next door (it looks like many months of work left ahead).

Ein wirklich kleines, aber richtig tolles Hotel mit Niveau.
Hier wird alles getan, dass man sich wohl fühlt!
Es gibt nichts zu meckern.

Nydelig hotell og fantastisk service. Middagene var også super bra. Stranden er ikke den beste rett utenfor hotellet. Man må gå ca 5 min for å komme til nydelig sandstrand. Men hvis man ønsker en rolig ferie er dette stedet perfekt. Ca 20 min å gå inn ti Paja hvor det er mer liv og restauranter.

Amazing staff made our 5 night stay special! Food was delicious and this small, boutique resort was intimate yet private. Very clean and serene environment. Most comfortable beach loungers I’ve ever had!

si tratta di un piccolo hotel adults only con poche camere. Ottimo il personale che si è sempre dimostrato disponibile e gentile.
Il servizio ristorazione più che dignitoso considerato che siamo a Zanzibar. Abbiamo apprezzato il servizio al tavolo e l'atmosfera.
Unica pecca la mancanza di un servizio di cortesia per chi come noi l'ultimo giorno aveva il volo la sera e non era possibile il late check out.

Um lugar inclivel com uma piscina linda e o quarto muito confortavel. A comida tambem e muito boa somente casal.

Great boutique hotel. If you’re looking for a place to relax, that’s the place. Everything is thought out in great detail. The food is also amazing!
The location is great if you want to chill and have a relaxed vacation. If you’re looking to explore Paje city center it might be a bit far away but they will work in gather you a transfer.
Definitely recommended and I’m sure i’ll be back in Amani!

A truly wonderful hotel that stands out for its friendly family feel customer service and its variety and standard of food that has so many choices for vegetarians during the 4 course meal every night. The rooms are tastefully decorated with good aircon and mosquito nets for the bed. The pool and sunbeds are well spaced and quiet and there are paddle boards to use in the sea. The treatments at the spa are varied and delivered brilliantly for a very reasonable price! I highly recommend this adults only hotel if you’re looking for peace and tranquility with an outstanding focus on you as the guest

Superb accommodation; impeccably clean, perfect private beach facilities, good variety of meals at dinner. Excellent service provided by exceptionally friendly staff who always added a personal touch to everything.

Sehr schöne ruhige Unterkunft mit super freundlichem Personal. Alles sauber. Sehr feiner Sandstrand. Bestens geeignet für Paare, die eine ruhige Umgebung suchen.

Excellent séjour

Wonderful small hotel with great rooms and lovely staff. Located on beach between Paje and Jambiani so we walked out for lunch and sundowners each day before returning to hotel for superb dinner
If you want a quiet and tranquil break away from the bustle of other areas on the island this is the perfect place for you. We had a couple of nights in Stonetown to compliment it
If we you do stay we can recommend lunch at the Rock restaurant up the coast. Wonderful experience and food. Hotel can arrange transport
