Clean, good location, friendly staff
Overall a little tired, needs investment
The room was large and very clean. Front facing aspect which could have been noisy during the week, (Hotel does supply ear plugs if required). We had no problem sleeping at our Bank holiday weekend stay. Fairly quiet with the windows open even.
The full English breakfast we had was excellent. Plenty of food cooked to a high standard.
We had an evening meal at the hotel and again the food was excellent. Very well priced good value.
All the food for our stay was freshly cooked to high standard.
The staff at the hotel were very friendly, very professional and very helpful.
Would HIGHLY recommend this hotel.
Would definitely stay here again.
Everything was fine. No complaints.
Type of one way system to get to hotel carpark
Absolutely everything! Top scores for comfort, style, hospitality, location and breakfast. The speciality coffee is absolutely devine and a must! Really close to central amenities,
There was nothing not to like.
Very near the University. Room was a good size and nicely decorated. Plenty of free parking (register at reception).
Restaurant is basically closed Fri and Saturday night cos everyone 'goes out'.
Room was cosy and bed was very comfortable. Room was warm and staff were very friendly.
There was slight noise from road traffic outside but this wasn't a big issue for me.
Rooms were comfortable, staff were friendly, on-site parking was useful
I hadn’t expected evening meals to be available (based on details when booking). On arrival we were advised that evening meals could be ordered, and as we had driven down from Scotland and were tired, we did order. The price was fair, but I would have preferred higher quality food even if it cost more
There was something indefinable and good about my stay. It was basic accommodation. The window in my room faced west, into the afternoon sun, and a busy street intersection. Both days the outdoor temperature reached almost 30. degrees. I expected the room to be too hot and noisy. To the contrary I slept better than I had in all luxury hotels (including Sea Containers and Fawsley Estate) over the previous month. The room was comfortably warm and the traffic noise diminished by 8pm.
The burger for dinner and full English breakfast (included) were both competently prepared and very acceptable. The staff were friendly and helpful.
Nothing I can think of.
Large room, comfortable bed, large shower, good location near to town centre, good full English breakfast, plenty of parking spaces
No slip mat in the shower, road noise although ear plugs were supplied. Poor cereal selection would have liked muesli or granola.
The greek girl who looked after us both in checking in and doing the bar was exceptional
Great location and amazing staff.
Very tired. Some parts of the hotel are in very poor repair!
Needed a good upgrade.
Posizione e colazione
Struttura vecchia e prezzo alto
Staff are very polite , , clean room, very spacious, facilities to nake a hot drink in the room, old building, on the door step to town
The water in the fridge made my partner and myself sick after drinking it
The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Our room had been upgraded and was spacious and comfortable. The shower was easy to use and we had robes and slippers which was great.
We didn’t have dinner but breakfast was well cooked and tasty. The lounge and bar area was pleasant.
Parking was easy and free.
Our room whilst very good was too warm for me, but the traffic was noisy so I only opened the window for a few minutes. There was a fan that I could have used, which makes being too warm my problem really!
