Location is very good for the town centre, shame about the climb back to the lodge. Very restful and relaxing location, good parking, roomy size room,
Room is now looking a little tired now in places,we have been going for the last4 years,pillows a bit hard, shower water flow a bit slow .
Friendliness of staff
Lovely location on golf centre surrounded by Scots pine trees, very tranquil setting, lovely room with tea making facilities and private bathroom, over bath shower, with own entrance onto verandah and grounds, a little 1 minute stroll to spa centre, the staff were fabulous, , the restaurant was excellent with great food at good prices, breakfast was superb, great choice and large portions, the spa centre is beautiful, with lovely pool, jacuzzi, steam , dry sauna etc, towels provided, (you need a £1 coin for the lockers) the whole place had a quiet, relaxed and friendly atmosphere, everyone there was happy and chirpy and there was no noise , you could easily just hole up here and have everything you need for a relaxing break even without being a golfer, or it is a great base for sightseeing the surrounding areas, Bournemouth town is 10 mins easy walk although not after dark as it is through woods and the underpass and is a bit risky and feels very unsafe.
Lots of parking in the private free car park but difficult to park next to the rooms so be prepared to carry your cases.
There is a supermarket ((Tesco) a 10 minute walk away
Only small niggles...
The towels in the bathroom are on the small side, not big enough to wrap around after a shower of bath, a flannel each would have been nice and a glass or beaker in bathroom, and no robe.
Only a couple of teabags and milk although reception happily give you more if you ask, and no bottled water so water is from bathroom tap, luckily we had our own 2l bottles.
The walk down to town is through woods and under the huge underpass so unlit and a bit creepy with dubious types loitering , not so bad during the day but not recommended after dark, walk the long way around or get a taxi !

Staff amazing 👏 Mike in the gym was amazing all very friendly. Nice pool .clean rooms. Cleaning ladies very nice 👌 ☺️ parking spaces was great .
No plug sockets near the beds .really disappointed the steam room was still unavailable 😕

A little tired looking and quite noisy from room above
The whole experience was fantastic and would 100% stay again and highly recommend to my freinds. Excellent rooms, health facilities and golf coarse.
The room was small and compact but with everything you need. The bathroom has recently been done up and looks in a good condition. Sheets and pillows where good.
Best part was the gym/swimming pool and sauna area which comes with the room. This is not just some tack on the side but for some people it is there regular gym. I did not use the gym as I had already been that day to my regular gym but the equipment was in good condition and the changing rooms were in a good condition. My wife and I used the sauna/pool which was nice and had a chat with a number of members.
The restaurant/bar is designed for the golf course and the local cider was really good and I had the fish and chips and it was the best I have had in long time.
I would come back if I needed accommodation in the area
