Nonexistent reservation
Pros:

I showed up after a long day of flying only to say my reservation was not received. As a result, I was left without a place to stay and ended up booking elsewhere due to Val Hotel telling me they only accept cash.

Pros:

The hotel just opened the day before we were there for one night. They were new owners and completely remodeled the hotel and since it was so new, there were a few little things missing like soap dish in the shower and they could only do cash until the next week. But those things are understandable after Covid and complete remodel and just opened. The staff is excellent. Very helpful in every way, including their nice breakfast on the top floor with an amazing view of the city. We have stayed there with the prior owners and this is much improved. We will go back as it is in walking distance from the clinic we visit.
