A gem of a boutique hotel in a beautiful setting
Pros:

What a gem of a boutique hotel! We were super impressed by the size of the rooms and amenities in the rooms which included bath robes. All bath robes, bedding, and towels were tastefully embroidered with the hotel’s logo, as well as bath product were branded, which is very rare for a small independent hotel. The lounge/bar area is huge with tons of seating and feels very upscale. The garden is beautiful and peaceful and the location in the centre of town on the river is perfect. Staff were all very friendly and several spoke perfect French, which was helpful are we are French and don’t speak Portuguese aside from a few words. It felt overall very luxurious and like a solid 4-star hotel. I’m actually surprised that’s it’s categorised as a 3-star as all the amenities, services, condition of the property, and overall atmosphere and space certainly are warrant a 4-star rating.

Cons:

While the memory foam mattresses are nice, maybe a mattress topper would help it feel that much more luxurious
