Everything about Blue Veleta was great! Jose and the staff and security, were very accommodating and pleasant. Nothing but good energy at this place. If your looking for a great place to stay and good food, there’s a restaurant right downstairs with great food and great drinks. I’ll be booking again!
This was my first trip to Tulum, and Blue Veleta is a big reason why I will be planning a return. The area looks a bit rough upon arrival due to lacking infrastructure such as paved roads but it is clearly being developed at a rapid pace. Don’t let it deter you. I would recommend renting a car or a moped for travel into town and to get to the beach since it’s quite a ride on a bike. Staff is friendly, facilities are clean and well cared for. The ONLY thing I would say is a negative from my personal experience, is the lacking of a formal front desk/check in area. You will need to check in at the restaurant downstairs, and not all staff speaks English very well but it’s easy enough to get past. For the very reasonable prices charges I’d recommend a stay at Blue Veleta.
