I’m someone who enjoys staying in hotels. From 5-star hotels to the cheapest ones, I’ve experienced them all.
This is the first time I’ve had to wake up 4 times just to turn on the air conditioner. This isn’t Cameron Highlands where it’s naturally cold without air conditioning.
I called the reception many times, but no one answered. I had to go downstairs myself to inform them that the air conditioner in my room wasn’t working properly.
They changed my room, but it was still the same. People come to hotels to relax, but when there’s an issue like this with the air conditioning, it completely ruins my mood. I paid for 2 nights, so I’m not satisfied with the level of comfort I received.
So first, why is there always someone at the reception when I go downstairs, but when I call from my room, no one answers?
Second, why wasn’t a proper solution given on the first night after I checked in? I had already been in the room for almost 2 hours and it was still not cold. They only changed me to a similar room, but the air conditioning was still not working.
The room is comfortable and the property offers appreciable amenities. I particularly appreciated the warm and helpful attitude of the front desk team — despite an initial language barrier at check-in, colleagues quickly stepped in to assist us efficiently. The stay was overall pleasant.

Several maintenance and safety issues seriously marred the experience. Exposed electrical wires, connected with wire nuts (dominos) — which is strictly prohibited in this type of installation — were visible directly behind the bathroom mirror, right next to a water source. This represents a serious electrical hazard that must be addressed urgently. The Daikin thermostat displayed a filter change alert, indicating a lack of routine maintenance follow-up. The bedside lamps were out of order, which affects the basic comfort of guests. Finally, the bathroom extraction vent appears to have been poorly positioned, with the rain shower head passing directly in front of it, making any future servicing virtually impossible. These technical failings should not exist in a property of this standard.
