Le petit déjeuner n est vraiment pas terrible et son organisation non plus. Il faut prendre un ticket et attendre son tour. Pas évident quand on a un train a prendre .

Value for money in terms of location, convenience and quality
Pros:

The hotel is just a 3 to 4-minute walk away from Kanazawa Station, which is one of the primary reasons why we selected this hotel, as we initially planned to take the bus from the station to Shirakawago. Eventually we decided to rent a car on the day of travel itself, which didn't pose a problem even though it was a last-minute decision, as there are a number of car rental companies around the Kanazawa Station to choose from as well.

Aside from its location, I personally like the larger-than-average bathroom and toilet (by Japanese hotel standards), as well as the provision of a laundry room with 3 washer-cum-dryer machines that are coin-operated. What's cool is that you can actually monitor the availability of the machines, as well as the crowd level of the restaurant (for breakfast) from the comfort of your own room via the tv!

For introverts, you'd be happy to hear that you don't have to deal with the receptionists, as the hotel has a few machines to assist with check-in and check-out, which also double as coin-changer in case you don't have enough coins to operate the washers.

All in all, the hotel is, for the most part, designed for guest convenience, which I highly appreciate.

Cons:

I don't necessarily dislike the arrangement, but for some, it may be an inconvenience, in that the toiletries, i.e. toothbrush and toothpaste, as well as the drink preps for coffee and tea are all centralised at the lobby area. So if you missed picking up the toiletries during your check-in, you will have to make another trip to the lobby, and if you feel like having tea / coffee, you will have have to make the trip to the lobby as well.
