This place cares more about how the room and facility looks than any real quality. Cold and sterile environment intent on being classy, fails miserably as electrical cables hang damaged and mold lines the corners by the floors. The night receptionist was very uninterested and did the absolute minimum. The guy helping with parking and showing us the room was very friendly and informative however.
The "studio room" featured a rock hard sofa in front of a TV that was not even plugged in when I came to the room. The bed, equally rock hard, was the only thing good about the room. Taking a shower in the bathtub (there was no shower booth) had me almost tripping as the tub was curved and not meant to be used standing up. All rooms had very open views to corridors and the ground level streets, having me spending my entire stay with all blinds closed and curtains pulled out.
The entire place was very noisy, as the walls were completely bare. I could hear all neighbouring room activities, from talking to walking to ...other. Some rugs and wall decorations to soften the sound seem like a minimum for a place taking this kind of money.

Rooms are spacious but the restaurant is infested with bugs. Saw cockroaches on the bread, on the tables and in the kitchen. Also picked up the milk and it was curdled and gross. I would avoid the food during your stay

Also very noisy. The rooms do need some sound proofing as the street noises made sleeping hard. Multiple drag races during the night. Plus a few drunk screaming people walking past. Not a good night sleep

Do you have a minute to hear about the horror experience that is the Jack Rose Hotel and Rosebud restaurant? Cockroaches. Filthy restaurants and a cowardly restaurant manager. Someone call Gordan Ramsey because the Jack Rose Hotel and Rosebud restaurant is a nightmare!

Not for professionals it’s more of a back packing environment for under 35. they need to sale as backpacking not hotel

This place is so beautiful outside but as soon as I was inside the room and greeted by cochroaches I regretted taking it. I didn't even sleep inside the sheets as I was not comfortable. The fact that there's no backup electricity made it even more unpleasant. The security and the receptionists are excellent though enjoyed their pleasantness

An old building in an excellent location, renovated and updated. Very helpful staff.

I would definitely return myself, and strongly recommend to others looking for a central location that's affordable. A thoroughly pleasant stay.

Love it! Besides the once off street shoutings noises the place was 5 star. Clean spacious and exquisite. I. Will definitely return for my next business……The buffet breakfast was out of this world. I really wished it could last for four hours…,

This would have been a perfect place to stay in Jo-burg, except my a/c didn't work, even just the blower. All I needed is was circulating air, so I had to leave the window open on a weekend, when every knucklehead with a low-resistance muffler on a 1.5L engine had to impress us with his mediocrity. (Noisy engines if you're not into the performance stuff.) Didn't sleep well until after 0300.

The studio apartment was huge and its equipped with self catering equipment and a fridge. The room also has a big smart TV though its not subscribed to any service providers.
My room had no soap or lotion, I had to go and request at the reception, the bathtub was also dirty/stained, need to be cleaned.
The breakfast buffet was good and filling,.

Everything is wrong here! Mould on the ceiling, dust balls all over, exposed sockets, safe keys only kept by manager, terrible food, not near any transport and unhelpful manager whoeither blames you or screams at her staff. Photos on Google review

This is the best place ive stayed at in joburg, my only querry is that they should have a backup generator for loadshedding, but next year me and my woman are definately frequenting the Hotel, price is very affordable

Staff were friendly and the price was good and appropriate for the quality of the hotel.

This was a business related trip I enjoyed the apartment except for the reception ladies yoooo those ladies are inhospitable and unfair I won’t get into extreme details but I was not happy and they are disrespect ful however the space is nice and comfortable only the staff is weird

When there is load shedding it goes dark because they do not have a generator or the lamps that can be used when there is no electricity. The doors don’t lock properly, which makes a person in the room feel unsafe. They have roaches in the kitchen. The food is not good. I had to order food via Mr D, though i had paid for the food. The towels are yellow not even off white. They are hard and scratchy.

I had asked my company not to book this establishment in future.

The place is beautiful and ideal for someone not looking to relax and rest. There’s so much noise in the morning from the road with trucks cars taxis hooting. There was no backup for loadshedding which is a bit of a bummer. Besides that the rooms are clean and very big.

We enjoyed our stay beautiful place, very clean rooms. Friendly stuff. Keep up the good work guys. Definitely coming back again. And Place is child friendly aswell. I am happy guys. Thank you so much.

When we arrived the ataff was Very friendly. Quick and effectiveadministration making it easy to stay over. One night but was still accomodated for.
Would love to go back for a longer holiday.

The welcoming at the reception was out of this world, the room was spacious , neat, as much as breakfast was served , there were options in the room in case someone decides to cook , utensil were fully provided , yes the whole kitchen, the linen was clean.
