Pros:

The staff wasn't too friendly nor too helpful as for our suitcases.

Cons:

As part of our Via Francigena hike we picked the Casanova as our one night stay along the trail. the Hotel is located some distance from the nearby town. the nighty walk (just for dining and food shopping) along an dark road lacking any sidewalks was very unsafe.

Pros:

Struttura immersa in un bellissimo giardino fiorito e con vista panoramica sui colli Toscani; l'alloggio, molto spazioso, era su 2 livelli ed era curato nei minimi particolari.
Una sorpresa i cartelli in Inglese nel parco della tenuta che annunciano l'attraversamento di gatti, mai visti prima, davvero originali!

Die Unterkunft ist hervorragend und jederzeit weiter zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Das "Zimmer" war eine richtige Wohnung mit Treppe zum Bett und der Toilette. Ein grosser Tisch, eine Sofaecke und im Aussenbereich Gartentisch mit Stühlen. In der Wohnung gabs versteckt in einem Schrank eine Kücheneinheit.
Für Fotografen ist die Unterkunft ebenfalls geeignet. Etwa 200 Meter vom Belvedere-Viewpoint entfernt.

Cons:

Der Weg kurze Marsch zum Dorf San Quirico d'Orcia entlang der Strasse über zwei Kreuzungen (ohne Gehsteig und Fussgängerstreifen) sowie über eine Brücke schien mir nachts etwas gefährlich, besonders der Rückweg in nicht mehr ganz nüchterem Zustand. Ich war deshalb zweimal im angeschlossenen Restaurant "Barbarossa" zum Nachtessen. Am ersten Abend habe ich ein Fleischmenü bestellt. Das Stück Rindfleisch war riesig, aber leider auch zäh mit vielen Fettfasern durchzogen und musste richtiggehend abgearbeitet werden. Es wurde auch nicht danach gefragt, wie man es gerne gebraten haben möchte. Ob dies immer so ist, kann ich nicht beurteilen. Am zweiten Abend habe ich mich dann für eine Pizza entschieden, welche hervorragend war.
