Great location but wouldn’t stay again.
Pros:

Fantastic location. Spacious room. Nice balcony with great views. Great washing machine/dryer.

Cons:

It felt a bit dirty. The lighting was terrible because the main light was extremely bright and the side light was very weak. We asked for another light at reception but they did not have anything. We could not make the room feel cosy and looked forward to our stay ending. We also felt the kitchen was a bit unequipped and so were reluctant to use it much. Not great for the quite high room cost.

Pros:

We had a really great stay here. The apartment was spacious, very clean, and came with complimentary amenities. The washer/dryer was high quality, which was especially convenient, and the bed was very comfortable.
The staff were exceptionally kind, friendly, and accommodating throughout our stay. The location is excellent — right next to the train station and within easy walking distance of the old town. We stayed on the seventh floor, so train noise was not an issue at all, and there was very little traffic noise during the night anyway.
The hotel also offers free wellness tickets nearby and access to a gym, which was a really nice bonus, although we only stayed two days and didn’t get the chance to try them.
Overall, we would definitely stay here again, ideally for a longer visit next time.

Overall is a good place to stay for a day or 2.
Pros:

Very typical Japanese house. Working kitchen with pot, pan and cutlery. Has a washer and dryer which is rare in that location. Has vending machines on each level.

Cons:

The lift is small and travel time is long.

Spacious, comfortable stay in a great location for exploring Takayama.
Pros:

Location & Neighbourhood
I loved Takayama. There was so much space and fresh air, which made the stay feel very relaxing. The hotel was also in a very convenient area, with lots of shopping and food options nearby, almost to the point where it was hard to choose where to eat! We used the hotel as our starting point and walked everywhere, including to the various shrines, the Miyagawa Morning Market, and Takayama Old Town.

Room & Facilities
The hotel far exceeded my expectations. The room was very spacious, especially the bathroom and laundry area, which made the stay very comfortable. I also really appreciated the free drinks provided, including alcoholic drinks, which was a nice bonus. The fridge also had condiments, if you decided to cook.

Good to Know
The hotel only has one lift, and the lift is quite small. It would be good to allow some extra time during peak hours, especially when checking out or heading out for the day.

Overall
A spacious and comfortable stay that exceeded my expectations, with a great location for exploring Takayama on foot and plenty of food and shopping options nearby.
