Charming hotel, but be very careful when booking your room.
We were surprised to discover that some rooms don’t have a proper bed at all, but instead come with a pull-out sofa for two people. In our case, the staff managed to switch our room, but it easily could have ended differently. Paying $400 per night to sleep on a pull-out sofa is simply unreasonable.
Room was large, modern and clean. Apropos, the restaurant at the hotel was excellent and a gem.. It’s worth the trip itself.
The bathroom fixtures were top quality but water pressure was low.
The Abbey Inn was really wonderful. The location can't be beat, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the accommodations were beautiful. The room was pristine and very clean and modern. It was quiet and the temperature was perfect. We did not want to leave. I felt like a princess with the lovely toiletries and robes which were supplied. The on-site restaurant was a real treat, too. We will be back.
A luxurious hotel in a charming location, with a great view, a beautiful shower, comfortable beds, and a feeling of old and new together.
The booking on Booking.com somehow required two rooms for two people, which was confusing and required me to book two rooms and then cancel one.
Deep tissue massage is overpriced and waste of money
The end exceeded our expectations. Lovely views surrounded by immaculate rounds. Has been updated with all the nice vanities, however still has kept its charm and character. The staff couldn’t have been more helpful. The manager drove us down to the train station. We both loved the place oh yeah the food and wine were delicious as well.
Absolutely beautiful property with breathtaking views. The staff were warm and friendly. A great place to relax and unwind. Our dinner at Apropos was delicious. We will be back!
The property is beautiful and unique!
We couldn’t could not check in until the evening because we were at a wedding and we felt like we got the worst rooms.
Spa service was very good. Food amazing
.
It was fine but not what one would expect for a high-end place at more than $600/night. It lacked charm, decent coffee, anyone serving breakfast (at 9 am no waiter around), a bit of a weird vibe all around. It was however, very clean. And the room had a lovely balcony with a large private sitting area.
The Inn is a historical and gorgeous building in an incredible setting on a hilltop with amazing views. When outside you feel as though you are in a European village. The interior is filled with lovely artwork, photography and sculptures. The furnishings are nice but not impressive, particularly the guest bedrooms. The restaurant was pretty but I was expecting more from the quality and taste of the food, especially given the fact that the hotel boasts mention in the Michelin Guide. All in all an exceptional stay.
