Large room, great view, nice attentive staff.
Very noisy train horns all night, difficult to sleep
First time there, 43rd wedding anniversary. Quiet, scenic location with excellent service. 1-2 mile hiking trails a short walk from the hotel if you enjoy that.
It was a great getaway after we had to cancel our trip to Aruba.
Restaurant was a little too expensive.
Exceptionally friendly staff
Hands-on helpful at all times a day
genuinely courteous, business like and well groomed
Would’ve appreciated longer pool hours
Beautiful, clean and super comfortable room. Great views. Staff is very nice.
Dinner was just ok
Beautiful restored building in a lovely setting, nice size rooms, excellent restaurant, friendly staff. Easily reached from NY, CT, and NJ
Nothing
We are very grateful to them and their team for making our Mind Body Soul Retreat event a huge success. The place is breathtaking. All the staff concerned were very attentive and handled all our requirements promptly and with a smile. We will definitely be coming back very soon for another of our signature events.
The staff was amazing. Super nice and responsive. The hotel is beautiful. The chocolate chips at 3pm in the lobby are such a fun surprise.
I payed a lot of money to sleep of a folded sofa bed. Which was really disappointing. There is not much to do there and the pool is shared with other buildings.
Good venue for a wedding not as a getaway
For such a fancy property the pool is shared with the residences around the hotel so there is no luxury feel to that
My family and I had wonderful experience at the Abbey Inn & Spa for my daughter’s wedding. The grounds are meticulous and the views are stunning!! The staff was amazing from the moment of arrival, Victor(the front door attendant and greeter) was so kind and helpful at all times . A wonderful first impression that continued throughout our stay .The front desk was there for all our needs. The wedding turned out to be a special life memory thanks to the Abbey and all the special staff members. I would highly recommend the Abbey Inn and Spa if you are looking for a special experience to cherish .
All staff were extremely helpful.
Food—dinner and breakfast were outstanding.
Scenic views were just icing on the cake.
This place is terrific. My wife and I stayed overnight for a quick trip during Father’s Day weekend and we were so happy with the level of hospitality. A special thanks to Victor (front door attendant and greeter) as well as Lizzy (front desk attendant) who greeted us so wonderfully and made us feel so welcomed.
All staff were very helpful and considerate and we had a wonderful time enjoying all amenities.
Our stay was an unexpected first-time delight, as we stayed at the Inn as a stopover on a longer trip to see museums in the area. The facility feels fresh and up to date, with a stunning view of the Hudson. We booked a river view, and a feature of this former abbey is that the rooms are narrow with great beds, but no chairs. However, there are plenty of places to sit on property! The two standout elements were a 'whatever you want, we can make it happen' attitude of the hotel staff, and a Michelin-worthy dining experience at their restaurant. I don't normally go into this level of detail, but the lobster Mac and Cheese alone would be reason to rate the restaurant 5 stars out of 5. Wife had the salmon and thought it was perfect, and I added the veal Milanese, which was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. An example of the service: we were traveling with wine, and I needed to re-freeze our ice packs. "No problem." The next day upon checkout, the front desk had made a note, and said "Please don't forget your ice packs." This hotel will have 100% market share from us on return visits.
“Wonderful stay! The hotel is beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. The staff was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Highly recommended!”
