Cannot find fault with anything. Our room was immaculate, the food was amazing and the staff and owners were fabulous. Just booked for September 😂 well done and Thankyou for making our stay fantastic.
Breakfast was fantastic and the staff were amazing
Great location, clean room beds really comfortable. The breakfast were absolutely amazing.
Unfortunately while we were there, they weren’t doing any food except breakfast and there was also a problem with the sky TV so we didn’t have any television in our room.
Staff were friendly
Building work in process. No sea view, Beds very hard. No window handles, so couldn’t open windows
The location, the warmth of the welcome from the owner, the excellent service and the superb breakfasts. The accommodation was freshly refurbished with comfortable beds and good heating. We stayed three nights whilst walking the coast path and felt that the accommodation represented excellent value for money. Although they weren’t offering evening meals at the time of our stay, there were two other pubs across the road where it was possible to have a meal.
Nothing - although we would like to have been able to open the window in the bedroom which was screwed shut and there was a lot of condensation in the bathroom despite a humidistat fan.
The hotel accommodation had been newly redecorated and re-carpeted to a good standard. Everything from our reception to leaving was as I would hope in a place at that price point in that location. We didn't eat at The Cornishman other than breakfast, but judging by that (excellent) I'm sure the experience would have been good. The location couldn't have been better to access the castle, walks and other attractions, eg., the old church, which were within a suitable radius. There was no noise from the public areas of the building.
I was a bit concerned initially because on the first night at times every word spoken in a neighbouring room could be overheard without trying and the TV was intrusive until the occupants decided they'd had enough, well after 11pm. Just so relieved that the TV wasn't replaced by headbanging, grunts and screams - we've had that before! 😂 They also took little care to ensure the heavily-sprung room door (required by fire regs) didn't slam shut every time they entered/exited, so the walls shook. Fortunately the second night was quieter - I assume because our noisy neighbour had left that day.
The nature of traditional buildings such as that mean that it's often not easy for the hotelier to do much about the effects of careless or thoughtless guests, so it's something one has to be prepared to encounter when staying in these quaint old English places. Part of the character and charm.
Breakfast was excellent.
The bed was most uncomfortable like sleeping on wood
Great choice for breakfasts, lunches and evening meals.
Really clean room and on-suite.
Good parking for guests.
Staff are happy and friendly.
Some of the pub loo doors didn't close properly, more jammed shut.
Great location, room was lovely and spotlessly clean.
Fantastic breakfast. Lovely room. Comfortable bed, friendly staff.
Blocked toilet that nearly overflowed in the morning for no reason.
Location.
Room notvready.
Modern, clean and extremely comfortable. In the middle of Tintagel excellent location with fantastic views of the sea. The owner/staff were all really friendly, helpful and couldn’t do enough to assist in any way
