Thumping music you can’t sleep through for a lot of $$$
Pros:

We had a suite with a balcony which was nice but quite expensive and the parking was expensive.

Cons:

The music blaring until 2am from the bars across the street was terrible. Not possible to sleep even with the white noise device they provided and ear plugs. We had no idea it would be that bad. The parking was $54 a night which made a 3 night stay with little sleep very expensive.

Great place for a short trip to Austin
Pros:

I like the location and how walkable the area was. I liked the staff, who were all very friendly and professional.

Cons:

Housekeeping was spotty. I stayed for two weeks, with the July 4th in between. I was so suspicious of the towels and cleaning during the first week that I brought my own towels the second week and only elected to have housekeeping come in once. It wasn’t that they were terrible. But they would leave things they shouldn’t, forget to replace things they should (like the little mat for getting out the shower), and on at least one occasion I used a towel that had been washed and saw right after using, that someone else’s hair was on it! That’s what gave me the ick. I do realize that it happens, but I was put off by it.

Loud, but close. Find somewhere else if you can. Use the earplugs, you will need them.
Pros:

Everyone on staff was wonderful, and went beyond their position to make us feel welcome.

Cons:

The reality is that your location is next to a loud bar. I appreciate that you provide ear plugs, and I will accept the tradeoff of being close to downtown in exchange for loud noises from the bar and from the garbage trucks. But I expect that I am the minority, and I wish I had known of these before I had booked.

I was happy with my stay. But you should understand why I will never book here again. You did everything right, but the noise beat you.

Cons:

Extremely loud at night. They charged me >$100 for valet even though I didn’t have a car - feels suspicious. They aren’t taking it off either after I was on hold for 30 min

This hotel is in a perfect location for enjoying the nightlife in Austin. The staff were extremely friendly and generous, and the rooms were very reasonably priced. Another great bonus is the on-site Verbena Restaurant which has a beautiful patio and the food was excellent. There’s also a really nice pool that overlooks the Austin skyline, which made for a perfect way to relax after a busy day at ACL. To top it all off, the hotel is dog-friendly, so my dog Teddy had a wonderful stay too!
